My dad always said that was his favorite perk of being self employed. He told me he could deal with people he didn't like, but those who were rude or degrading to him or my mom (the secretary/bookkepper), they could call another repairman and pay twice as much, cause he didn't need business that bad. As a small business, sometimes you have to draw lines, and this is one I respect wholeheartedly, integrity is more valuable than $15. Nice to see another businessman who still understands fair pricing and respect and straightforward talk to customers will win over a** kissing and BS.

I think it's wonderful to see all this support on here for not only Geoff, but for general attitude that the customer isn't always right.

I worked retail sales for 18 months. I enjoyed it for precisely 3 days. It was on the 4th day that I was informed the customer is always right regardless of how wrong they are and it was my job to make their wrong position right, even if it meant re-writing the laws of physics.

The sense of entitlement that goes with "the customer is always right" creates a needless stumbling block to satisfying everyone involved. The customer doesn't get what they are looking for and the business loses a sale. It's a lose-lose situation.

The fact that Geoff is willing to stand up and protect his employees, not compromise his values and call BS when he sees it says almost as much about his product as the product itself (which is pretty doggone awesome).

A. You're never going to get rich ripping people off
B. If you produce a great product, stand BEHIND it and IN FRONT of it when you have to
C. The customer is NOT always right. Especially if they're being abusive to ANYONE that works for you.

And D. I'm going to admit right here that I harrass Angus through the forum ALL THE TIME. But, it's dirty, so we're good..

Sure you can. You can get very rich. And then, as Bernie Madoff found out, you can get broke and incarcerated very fast.

Payback's a b*tch...especially when they payback involves spending the next 150 years behind bars.

So while we appreciate the business, we don't believe that $15 is an entitlement to dehumanize the people who work here.

You'd be surprised how many people disagree with that. *disgusted* I'm glad you don't put your employees dignity on the line like that. Tasty Vapor wins in so many ways. Always a fan!

I spent a couple of years in that post-high school graduate haze of "What do I do now?" working at BALLFART to maintain a meager cashflow. Prior to that, I was a friendly, outgoing sort. Not exactly Type A personality, but I was willing to give people the benefit of the doubt 95% of the time. In just a couple years, I turned into a bitter misanthrope. I decided that everyone sucks and those who didn't display sucky characteristics on the outside only needed time before their inner a$$hole surfaced. That was almost 20 years ago, and I'm just now starting to get over that.

Geoff, I wish you were my manager at the time. That's the problem with these big retail outlets. Not only does it seem like the customer is out to screw the floor associates over, but when a manager is called for some support, they always side with the customer and the floor associate's left looking like the jerk. Good on ya for drawing the line and taking a stand like that!

I put my 1st order in a few weeks ago after I had just started vaping. I asked a bunch of newbie questions - Geoff personally responded to my emails and very politely answered all my questions. Since then I found the answers are not only on TV site but also on this forums FAQ.
A lot of people would not have bothered answering and just told me to read the FAQ.
Hats off to Geoff and Tasty Vapor.

BTW Geoff - if your there - I have been checking Tasty Vapor site all Day eagerly waiting for the new "flavors of the week". Hurry the suspense is killing me.:)

I have exclusively vaped TV liquids since day 1 due to the raving reviews. All my friends (who are now using e cigs now) do too. None of us has ever had anything but praise for TV.

I used to own my own online store with a physical location (though I discouraged walk in business due to insurance reasons). I was the type of owner/mgr Geoff is. Wow have I been there. I know how hard it is to protect your employees. Good job man.

As a dispatcher/csr for a busy black-car company in NYC I too have had, and will continue to receive more than my fair share of abusive call from so-called executives from nuemerous companies...

It seems to me that the CEO's of said companys seem to treat me better than a low level manager. But when people start cursing at me and calling me names I simply remind them that they would NEVER speak to me like that in the street. I've also had a few people threaten to get me fired, to which my response is: "I know where you live, you sure thats wise???"

Ha! Scared the idiots half to death, I'll bet.

While there are a handful of superjerks who are rude to everyone in every situation, most of these people are cowards. They hide behind their computers or their telephones and think they can be rude just because they don't have to look you in the eyes when they are doing it.
