And if banning them doesn't work I will personally travel the upper midwest crushing windpipes for you.

I had an issue this week and your staff was nothing less than stellar, offering a solution that was unprofitable to you to spare me any inconvenience. You and your staff perform at a level that exceeds 99% of other companies, and in no way deserve an earful of crap.

Good for you for sticking up for your staff and standing for what you believe in!

I guess some people think it's a cute idea to get on the phone, or Live Help and be downright nasty with our folks here because we don't sell a flavor you like (RY4), call our employees names, etc. Or just feel that because we offer customer service that this is a free arena to just be abusive.

Kudos to you! Working in public safety in the environment I do, I can't recall how many times I've heard a customer start an argument with the old "customer is always right" line to have me or one of my guys/ gals inform them how our banning process works, and that they are no longer welcome.

Business is business, and unfortunately there are some end consumers in the public that just aren't worth serving.

By the way, just got the Geoff's Blend juice today, and can't wait to vape it! :vapor:

I am in the homebuilding industry and handle warranty claims. Just be thankfull that you can simply dismiss them and move on. I end up with some jerks for well over a year. Oh how I wish I could just ban them. It took time for me to develope the skills to deal with 'those people' but more importantly the ability to not let it get to me. Customer service is a tough digg no matter how you slice it.

While there are a handful of superjerks who are rude to everyone in every situation, most of these people are cowards. They hide behind their computers or their telephones and think they can be rude just because they don't have to look you in the eyes when they are doing it.

You have just summed up everything is wrong with the internet. YouTube is probably the biggest offender, but forums (this one is an exception), online games and comments sections of what ever news/blog website you happen to be reading are filled with trolls, flamers and general jerks.

These "people" are usually cowards who make themselves feel all big and important by attacking others. Something they would never have the guts to do in real life. The ability to instantly communicate with someone while being able to retain your anononimity and avoid looking into their eyes opened the door for crushing the human spirit in a way we could never have dreamed of 20 years ago.

We are raising a generation of humans that can't grasp the concept of interpersonal communication unless it involves a keyboard or keypad. That, in my humble opinion, is bad. Very bad.

You, sir, have just explained the finer points of John Gabriel's Greater Internet .......wad Theory (NSFW)

Wow...ain't it the truth.

Here's another great read that takes the it one step further. Also NSFW.
6 New Personality Disorders Caused By The Internet

Now, maybe it's a little more difficult to be as big of a jerk on the phone. But there are enough people out there with disorders like these that all they really need is an audience. It makes little difference if that audience is analog or digital. But before the internet, it took some amount guts to be a jerk. The internet made it possible for everyone to be a jerk. Fortunately, not everyone avails themselves of the opportunity.

Tasty Vapor has been my favorite juice supplier for some time based strictly on the juice and fast shipping. Now I can add your polices to a great reason to do business with you. After having spent 2 years as a Dell customer care rep I can fully appreciate the fact that other wise possibly normal people lose their mind when they pick up the phone to dial CC. Good for you for taking care of your people.:toast:

Hell, I'd take it a step further. Don't even tell them they're being banned. Apologize profusely while they're abusing you. Get their address and promise to send them something extra to make it right and keep their business.

Imagine their anticipation when they get their package from Tasty Vapor and open it up, expecting some heavenly juice and some extras because of the "issue" that they "resolved" by berating you. Now imagine their surprise when they actually open it up to find...

...a picture of Geoff giving the camera the finger. And a frozen dog turd.

Geoff,

I totally agree with you. It seems like you start small with very few regulations..then as you grow you have to implement different structures to your business to keep away the scammers and BS people. I'm not sure really how people are taking the growth of their local "mom and pop" ecig/eliquid company, but things have to change once you make the terrible commitment to incorporate and all that goes along with it. Don't get me wrong, we still provide top notch customer service and products, BUT, it isn't easy as it used to be when you could just take people at their word 100% at a time. I still remember Geoff when you were working from that 'Webs' website and now look at you and your team. You've apparently done something right..and what ever it was, just keep implementing it because I know it must feel VERY good to have people back you up when you step outside the regular persons comfort zone and call people on there non sense that they put on your empoyees...

Keep up the good work Geoff.. and keep on growing..

Chris

But tasty vapor DOES sell RY4. Its called CYO and you can totally get a great ry4 from it.

I know I did.

Also, Geoff is the only one allowed to abuse his employees. I thought that was a given.

Sometimes I just don't understand people. Were all human beings going through the same crap as everyone else, so why feel the need to be rude and hateful to a fellow brother or sister is beyond me.

We have now have two - three generations of people who were raised being told they were special and unique. When they're raised believing they're special, then they become an adult who thinks they're special. Special people don't have to follow the same rules as the rest of us.

It's really not a surprise.

I think it is more that they feel everything should be handed to them because they show up. A sense of entitlement. It is sad. Pride, hard work, a code of ethics and morals, this is not being taught by enough parents. They also do not learn how to deal with anger or disappointment.

That's what people said 100 years ago about the then-younger generation. Nothing new.

Im 41 and I think the "special" mentality began in earnest with the generation before me and the entitlement personality "gene" ( for lack of a better word ) was simply passed along. I honestly don't think it's a "younger" generation thing. I think it started with the Baby bummers , continued with Gen x ( treme ) and now the Millennials have the disease as well.

I don't think its necessarily become worse. I just think that communication methods are so improved that we are in contact with that particular entitlement driven minority of people far more often.

I tell my kids all the time," Yes you're special, but you're not so special that the rules don't apply to you." I only hope they can take that to heart and pass it along.

It definitely began with the Baby Boomers (of which I'm one.) There was suddenly this bulge in the population and the world catered to it. As a group we had unprecedented buying power and Madison Ave. noticed. But I think most of us turned out okay. Some people had to have life whomp them upside the head when they left the cocoon of childhood to realize that, while they are special, it's in the "all men are created equal" sense, not in the "the world owes you" one.

The attitude that gets to me is "it's someone else's fault." About 10 years ago I read an article about hazing in high schools. In one example, some girls had blindfolded and beat a classmate to the point she needed hospitalization. The parents of one of the kids (a minor -- sealed court records) was suing the school to overturn her expulsion because she wasn't the ringleader and having an expulsion on her record would hurt her chances to get into a good college.

Kid's probably been divorced 3 times by now and has never been able to hold down a job, but mommy & daddy told her those aren't her fault either.

And, back on topic, people do need to be held responsible for their actions.
