Good Day Everyone,

I quit smoking a year ago, went into my local vape shop and decided to try vaping. Got talked into buying an Kangertech EVOD kit. It was a great starting device, got banged up pretty quick but worked great. Less than a month after that I decided to get a new tank. I went with the Kangertech Aero, however I then found that the battery on the EVOD's did not really give off enough to support the tank. The next week I bought an EVOD battery with variable voltage to give me that extra kick, it worked great. I still wanted more. I bought an Aspire Premium kit with the Nautilus mini tank. This thing was great but the battery did not last more than half a day. I was carrying like 3 devices on me to get me through the day. 2 weeks after that I said I am buying my first mod. I bought a SMOK BEC Pro 50W with 2 18650 batteries, battery charger, plus the Aspire Nautilus. $350.00 later. However this was an awesome mod. It was like going from a KIA to a Porsche. You figured I would have stopped there. Well then I wanted something smaller to have at work, so I picked up a Joytech E Grip, worst device ever. 20W no tanks, battery life was ok but not great. Every coil always gave a burnt taste after about 10W, so I picked up the SMOK M65, at first these seemed to be a great device but then started getting battery issues, switched back to my BEC. Then came the EGO One, with an 2.5ml tank, this was ok, battery life again sucked and got it wet and wll that was the end of that. Then I discovered the KBOX Mini, well I figured that was the end of it for awhile, What a device. Swapping batteries was a breeze, one battery lasted all day. I could sub ohm and that was great till the leaks started. Bought another sub tank Mini still leaked. I bought a Sub Tank Nano, it just did not hold enough and still leaked. Purchased the Kangertech Plus, leaked. The Sub Box mini one day would not hold any of my tanks, I was so frustrated and decided to get a another MOD. I went with the EVIC VT (Black & Red) and a Aspire Atlantis. Great device, however I fished a lot and decided to also get the Heatvape Invader Mini, It is ok, battery life sucks but it is a good device other than that.

The question is am I the only one with this addiction?

Yes, you are the only one .... you freak.... 8)

Luckily I have the cure...

First you must donate all your gear to a good cause... "like me"...

Second, Send me all the recites so that I can put them into an excel spreadsheet and threaten to expose you to your wife if you ever buy more gear.... (or refuse to buy duplicates and give me one on the side)

But the important question is...

How much would you have spent if you were still smoking?

With vaping:
If it's less, be happy!
If it's the same, be happy! :thumb:
If it's more... I promise I won't tell your wife!

Take your time and shop carefully for devices, that will save you money, firstly. You payed $99 for subox mini? I payed just over half that.

If you like the mod but the 510 pin got pushed down so far that tanks wont connect, you can take out the battery sled and push the pin back up very easily.

Try a Horizon Arctic if those kanger tanks irritate you as much as they do me, you can find one under $30, NO leaking. I use one on my subox mini mod...

Research fixes for your issues thoroughly

I have been purchasing all my gear at local vape shops, online is cheaper but well I just don't want to wait. Going rate around here for Subbox mini is 99.00 to 139.00, In the states you guys get stuff a lot cheaper.

That's normal around here. :thumb: I wish my list was that short. I've literally spent several thousand dollars just on mods alone. :eek:I've been vaping almost 4 years and have accumulated enough stuff I could open a vape shop. That's no joke. I have several dozens of mods and tanks. Quite a few very very expensive. I bought 3 Provaris. Those are around 200 a piece. That's just a drop in the hat. I went a little crazy the first year. Now I allow myself a couple purchased a month for mods/tanks. It's more of a hobby now. My best investment was about 2 years ago! It was making my own juice. I can clone any juice on the market. I have made some really tasty recipes. That alone saves me enough money for my spending on new mods/tanks. I have 4oz flavor bottles of every flavor! I bought a deep freezer just for gallons of 100 mg nicotine. I break those down into smaller bottles and freeze them. Then I have 3 gallons each of PG and VG. I make juice for a lot of friends and family.

I think of it like this, when I was smoking Marlboro lights I spent well over 400 a month. At first I spent more than that a month on vape gear but now I try to stay well below that. :headbang:

BTW: I have 3 KBOX mini sets and the subtank plus. I've never had leaking problems. Well just once but realized I didn't have my cotton covering one of the holes enough. Other than that they've been awesome devices and tanks.

I think we all go a little over the top. Some of us more than others. If it keeps you off cigarettes then it's worth it!

I'd list my stuff but it would take all day and I've bought so much I'd have to go inventory it. :w00t:

Yes it adds up but IMHO you are not done. Are You?
I say you have gone from a KEA to a Honda, not in the Porsche category. It's tempting to buy Chinese tanks when they are only $40 to $50. But there in lies the problem; you're not satisfied with the performance and quality. So you buy another cheep atomizer and or mod combination. If you have a regulated device that pushes 50 to 60 watts you're good; you just need a quality tank now. Expect to pay $150 to $180 for a Squape R, Kayfun V4 and possibly a GEM if you can find one. The first two are available and I think you would be satisfied with the quality and performance as long as they are originals. I have been happy with both of them but for the past 3 months have been vaping exclusively on a Wizard Apprentice with the GEM topper. This may be new territory, but the cost for flavor, quality and performance comes at a price. An SX Mini is also an excellent mod that will power almost anything you need. Most of my atomizers I use never exceed 13 or 14 watts. My RDA's I run around 40 watts on my SX Mini.

I hear ya, I can't stop either, I say to myself, OK, next month I don't need anything but then I find myself at the online checkout, it's an illness lol and if I really don't need anything then I move on to juice concentrates instead, I can't stop.

I guess I have not done any rebuilding and am a bit nervous about spending $150 -$200 on a tank to mess it up. I just looked online for both the Squape R and Kayfun V4 and they look really good and have great reviews. How much work is it to rebuild?

I have 2 Delta II tanks... one in silver, one in black... I actually like the RBA deck better than the stock vertical coils... to me, the flavor is better, and a lot cheaper then dropping 5$ a coil...

you can pick up the tank now for around 25$ to 30$.... and it is not a clone.. up to you... 8)

There is a slight learning curve at first but nothing to be concerned with. A very small investment in a coil making tool, Kanthal wire (28 gage for starters), cotton, small wire cutters and ceramic tweezers are nice to have. Total investment around $30, about what you would pay for a package of 5 premade factory coils for your current set-ups. You will not be buying coils again. After a while you will be making and replacing your own coils in about 15 to 20 minutes. Changing cotton in 5 to 10 minutes. Allows you to customize your set-up and change up more frequently if you notice a change in taste from old cotton, gunked up coil etc..
The Squape R with the Wide Ceramic deck is as easy as it gets; love working with it! In fact I highly recommend this tank as your first rebuildable.
