What type of attys/cartos is everyone using? I dont have a afs yet but I do have a 510 and an 801, the 510 gives me no TH and I dont even use it anymore, is it possible to use 801 attys in the afs or should I buy another type of atomizer/carto?

901 atty or 808 carto

I knew I could count on you Imeo!! You DA MAN!!

I'm already considering a full GGTS AFS rig..maybe as my one year anniversary for vaping..or my Bday in November. I try to keep my vaping budget at breakeven on my spreadsheet and I've just blown that bigtime for the next couple of months..LOL! But it's money very well spent!! Thx again!!

Were you exactly 8mm from the bottom with your hole?

Ok Elendil as promised...it turns out my exact hole measurement was 7mm from the bottom...guess it moved a mm from my desk out to the shop. The bit I used was a 1/16" bit from my dremel kit. I will say though it vaped the tank dry and had no flooding issues on the first tank of juice. Placement in the barrel ends up being just on the bottom and it does vape the tank completely dry.

However I did get a major flood after first refill as some others have posted here. I drained the tank(thx for whoever suggested using pipette) and then took it all apart, blew out the cartomizer and vaped it a few times to check it out. Cleaned everything up and then took someone else's suggestion to "plug" the top before refilling. I made a plug by taking a 510 cart and removing the mouthpiece end of it and the silicone ring. Then I took the cigarette filter from one of my rolling tubes and stuffed it tightly into the top of the 510 cart. Not completely airtight but very snug. I placed this on the cartomizer and then refilled barrel, replaced both top rings. Removed the 510 cart and replaced it with my drip-tip..put it back on my BSB and opened the CR fully. No leaks..no flooding.

I kind of wrote that refill off even though it worked well..cause it was a complete disassemble. So this morning I refilled again..full tank..using the 510 cart plug with only removing the top caps and worked awesome! No leaks or flooding. So I think it is necessary to maintain that air pocket inside the cartomizer while refilling...kind of like the old diving bell scenario.

no need to be exact my friend, it is just a matter of getting all the juice out of the AFS. No biggie as you can refill so easy :D

the size is between 1.2 and 2 mm, no need to be precise here either, that is the beauty of this!!

who needs to be precise???? whahahahahahaha that is for noob's!!!!!!!!

Actually, I think the forgiving nature of the carto mod makes it perfect for noobs.

Emonty..I'm still using a drip tip on top..haven't gotten the AFS mouthpiece yet..so dunno if that would work and don't know how you'd maintain the air pressure I described in my earlier post if you did do it that way. I took off both pieces and the drip tip and it caused the cartomizer to flood while refilling...which necessitated a complete breakdown.

Maybe I'm not doing something right..but I had the CR fully closed so should of worked.

Keep a paper towel on the ready when refilling. Once you have your cap back on turn the GG upside down and stick the paper towel (rolled up to a point) down inside the carto and soak up the excess juice. You should then be ready to go without the flooding.... I do this every time I fill it up.

What?...and waste precious juice? LOL! I might remember that trick for an emergency..but my analog .... in the 510 wastes no juice...LOL!

I didnt understand well what you do Emonty:)

There is the small cap (with the moutpiece attached to it) and there is the big cap, I don't separate them anymore, no need when refilling I just unscrew the big ring from the AFS cap, refill and close, no flooding what so ever.

mmm, never have to do that, dunno but sometimes the carto is a little full, I just take one or two drags, close the CR, let it sit for a minute, open the CR ring and vape. When Vaping at 6V draws enough liquid fast.

Emonty is correct, I have been doing this for months now and there really is no reason to remove the small cap, the only thing you need to be careful of though Emonty is that you dont loosen the Atty this way but its tough to do if you have it on tight,

Now go on and Vape like a Raped Ape everyone with you AFS'S Hahahahaha
