Imeo,
Ahh, I gotcha. Yeah, I guess your right......I think its pretty neat getting to see the inside with liquid and helpful. But, I see what ya mean, In the long run, we would be replacing the clear tank often...and it wouldnt be worth it....and not as cheap as ya may think it would be.

Mwa,
Yeah a GOLD AFS.....would be pretty sweet...I would have to see it tho...

I will tell you my friend Tim

1) It ruins the look of GGTS. An all aluminium mod with a cheap plastic AVS? And seeing the atomizer inside is not the best view in the world with your GGTS.

2) Threads will not last of course as you said. But how you will be able to buy a new AVS when the adjustable draw is build in? You cant just change the plastic tube because its not only a plastic tube there. This plastic tube have internal and external threads on bottom holes too and 2 channels. That simply means that replacing the tube will be not cheap.

3) If it drops of your hands it will brake easily. The liquid will go all over the place and of course you will stay without AVS and you will have to pay again for a new one. GGTS is immortal and it has to stay that way. We dont need a disposable AVS.

4) Making threads to a tranparent plastic we ruin its brightness. We will ruin its surface more by trying to keep it on lathe to make the threads on it.

5) Why do you want to see the liquid inside?

I can answer a few of the points raised -

1, Surley looks is down to the individual
CHEAP PLASTIC !!! ITS CAST ACRYLIC is not Cheap ! Its Clearer than Glass

2, Time will tell on the threads ! But at the moment I have 2 of them .

3, Mine is 3mm bigger in diameter to allow for thicker walls on the chamber to protect from damage also to allow top/cap thread to have more strength.

4, The only thread that can be seen is the top one and this is very small and doest need to be seen through as it has a thread the other side of it .

5, Because i gonna stick an LED in it and it can double up as a PV Lighthouse .:D:D:D
I like to see the hole and how much is left but thats me ..
But I like to fiddle ...

My good friend arry. I know that stuff is not cheap. I said cheap plastic because it will look like this on the GG! And yes its clear like glass.

3. Bigger diameter is very good for safety, I agree, but we increase the width. I am trying to earn 0,5 mm the most of the time on GG so a bigger tank is not what I would like to see on GG.

4. Threads on plastic will be not be exactly visible but the dimness of the plastic is visible on the threads.

I never said that its not good. I said exactly the opossite as you saw on my previous post. I say again that you have done a very nice job there!

ps....... bring the light arry:thumb:

Now what if the tank was made out of tempered glass, or something like pyrex.

I used to build chandeliers for a living way back when. We built among others the glass chandeliers from Italy. Let me just say that threading glass to metal is not for the faint of heart and it would be insanely delicate. I'd venture to say it might last for 2 tanks and even then it would have micro glass dust from the threading floating in your juice....I'd just say that's a REALLY bad idea!

What about a sealed window in the side of the metal tank, just so one could see how much juice they had left in it.? all though I don't think a window or glass would look good on the AVS at all, right now it is the classiest looking PV on the market and between its looks, Style, and performance guys we have the FERRARI of all Mods

If this plastic gets hurt by threads or scratches then its impossible to be like a glasss again my friend mike. Its not dificult for me to make it, but it will mot look as I want. A perfect unit needs to stay perfect to my opinion. Of course some friends here can try it, I just dont want to make an experiment that I know already how it will go.

As like mwa102464 said, a small plastic window would be nice, if its not too much hassle to implement. If its a small window, the strength of the GG shouldn't be compromised.

Glass would be no good since it shatters too easily. Quality plastic would be the best option.

Perhaps it could be an optional item at least.

Its up the Imeo off course, I have confidence that he knows what's best :)

I know what you mean my friend K2, we have discussed this in past but that window will be a leaking point for GG. We cant secure it easily in a so thin wall like AVS has. Also it will get blur soon and maybe it will brake in the first fall.

Guys, there is no reason at all to see the liquid inside. Its useless. You will refill when you will feel burn taste and you cant feed the atomizer more by inhaling, thats all. Simple and nice.

It would be cool , but like I said and agree with Imeo, there is really no reason for this on the beautiful tank as it is, you just know when to fill it it's almost like instinctive when that time comes and you just know it's ready for liquid, AVS is to pretty to make a window or add any plastic of glass, if anything I want a 24k AVS, Imeo.? Hahahah

I've gotten to where I just don't even worry about it runnin' dry anymore. I fill the tank in the morning(usually drain juice, quick buff/clean/refill/fresh battery) and then run it all day until around 4-5pm when I'll pop the top cap and refill for the evening and I'm good to go all night. Same routine everyday..takes about 10 minutes in the morning and about 3 minutes in the afternoon. Just works like a vaping machine...that's it...no window necessary!

You can 24k electroplate the GG im sure. I used to have my own 24k electroplating business years ago and did everything from cars to guns. I was thinking that a while back. Being i have a few GGTS's i may experiment. Ofcourse the GG's lok fine the way they are but ofcourse we all love gold! hehehe:D

Keon I agree for plated but on bronze only. Aluminium cant keep anything on its surface. Nickel or chromium will brake in the first fall. Thats why I dont want to do it. To speak the truth it will save me much time if I do it because I will not shine it and I will not clean it after the shiny prosedure but it will not last as you know already. The reason is that its an e-cig that we keep it all day in our hands and 2 things will happen:

1) Plate will leave off the surface
2) Plate will broke in the first fall

GG will looks nice for the first days but after that?

If you know something that I dont know because of your work then I am all ears buddy!

Yes, i was thinking about it and the aluminum would not plate well. Aluminum form an oxide layer the moment it is exposed to air making it hard to plate. Also i never plated aluminum before, only chrome, brass, copper ect. GG is fine the way it is...

To my opinion only cheap models are plated. Models with no functions. At least they have to look nice. Expensive models have to be pure so we can handle them easily if something happens. So if GG falls down and get scratched we can easily put it on a wheel.

All things have to be easy on GGTS. It will lose its purpose if we try to make it look nice only for a few months.

ps...... plated is not better than the GG's surface when its new. We have to notice that too.:)

Yes you are correct Imeo,I agree with you 100% Also, In the early 90's in some states and places like Florida where i used to live for a while, 24k gold electroplating was a big thing due to car emblems, grills, rims golf clubs guns and many other things. I had my own shop in a mall in florida for a few years. It was a fasion thing back then but wore off a while after, i used to have everything from door handles and emblems on my car but if you did not nickle activate it right, or strip the chrome off right then it would fade in due time. This is one reason i would not get the GG done, besides the point like you said it would loose purpose, personally i love the finish and would not touch it.

Also MWA, Can you buy me a 24k solid gold GG if one is ever made buddy!!!? hehehe:D If not a fishing trip would due being i might be down to florida in a few weeks....:vapor:
