got my wire today :D

should be able to play with it tonight...

I got pretty good results with my phone, putting it in macro mode. i think the details showed up pretty decent. I think my first wrap was just too smooth and too many half closed cells within the wire, I'm guessing that the thorny barbed wire look will do better than that one, it did amplify flavor but not so much in a good way, hope this makes all the difference

I am at a trade show, so not much time.
Can you post to tinypic or email me that pic, as an attachment it doesn't have full resolution.
You should have my email from a PM.
From what I can tell the initial twists aren't quite right.
The part where you can see the individual ends and how they come together is the most telling part.
Did you tension it with about the same weight object as I explained in the first video.
That is very important.
It is on the verge of breaking when folding and occasionally does anyway.

Yeah, I butchered a bunch of ribbon to get to where I can do it most of the time without a failure.
The wrong side of my brain is dominant for artwork.

Got to go

Yeah man... I'm all over it! Just wrapped a standard 28g on SS. Was inspired by the SS thread going. Next is errands and the beer store. Mr. Mundy is at a trade show and I'll be out and about. Call if you hit a brick wall... You... Hit a brick wall?! Pfft! where is my head. You got this!

I think I'll take the dog for a walk.

Turbo, that looks good!

And what do you think?????????
C'mon, waiting with anticipation for honest answer.

Like round wire I have found that if you tightly wrap and heat & squeeze it reduces lag and works better when in the micro range.
If it has a larger diameter like the 3mm I do on the Hero you cant have them touching or you get hot spots.
If you heat and squeeze that 1.1 ohm it should come down in resistance and work better.

does that monkey rope look right to you, Lexi? I can't see it so good. Maybe he should lay it on a scanner bed and hit it at 1,200dpi.

(people just don't take to suggestion)

He still hasn't sent me an email of it or put it on an image hosting site so I can see the detail.

Xo?

Leaving to go to trade show booth and will be there till at least 7PM CST and then the wife wants to go out to eat afterward.
But I will be able to check the forum every once and a while on breaks and lunch with the Ipad.

Really stoked to see that people are getting the wire so there will be more magic evangelists out there.

Well, sheesh, kids . . . .. put your laughing hats on . . . .

I spent hours and pro'ly 30-40ft of wire in ever increasing frustration and miserable failure . . . . .

PMed Mundy and Xoxo this am, at the end of my rope. Somewhere, in the discussion of technique, Mundus figured out that I was trying to do the initial step with a doubled strand of wire . . . . .. . yep. We talking hours folks. I almost had it too! (pro'ly not) So, filled with relief and excitement, I ran out to the shop and tried a single strand . . . .

easy as slipping on an icy sidewalk . . . . . it just happened effortlessly. HAH!

I AM SUCH A . . .. . "DIFFERENTLY CHALLENGED PERSON". . . . . . "HANDI-CAPABLE" . . . .. .

. . . . . . .lordy, lordy.

Looks good!
I might see a couple of inconsistencies, but heck I still get some of those.

If you go too far it will get mushed spaces like a squirrels tail that has been chewed on.

It doesn't take nearly as much twisting as the original stage does.

Give a man a fish and he will have a meal,
Teach a man to fish and he will drink all your beer.
