Mr. Dano. Next you should dive into cotton wick. But be prepared to have your mind BLOWN!
wink wink!
well, my 6 wrap quickly became a 3/4 @ .5Ω and I'm a happy camper!
But, the reason I write to you, gentlemen, is one of confusion. What's up with the resistance on this stuff? Am I just being stupid? ( . . .. don't)
If I do a 3/4 wrap and get .5Ω (or .4Ω on my other 3/4 wrap), then how come Xoxo gets to do a dual 4/5 and net the same? What kind of res. have you been getting, Mundy? (I recall that the initial #s you sent me with the sample pieces was also substantially higher than what I'm finding.)
So, your twisting a single piece of ribbon Together for the first step?

One thing that could be totally random coincidence (but I'll mention it in case there's a pattern to be found later); I'm finding the cold formed wire to be way easier to wick. The cotton slides in there pretty easy. I just re-wicked my original coil (hot twisted) and it's grabbing at my cotton and won't let it through.
