I'm on 11 days now without a ciggy. WHY am I still craving them? I'm getting enough nicotine. It just shows there is so much more in there that has us addicted than nicotine. It's just SICK that they put that stuff in there to do this to us. It's NOT just nicotine man, no way. I have enough strength with the vaper to not do it, but WHY am I STILL tempted? I'm getting the feeling of smoking and I'm getting the nicotine. Will this EVER go away?

So you understand what I'm saying. Don't worry I promise I won't do it, but what I want to know from longer term people than me that have been off of them, do the massive cravings from the chemicals go away eventually??? I KNOW it's not the nicotine. It happens MOSTLY after I eat.

Oh, and my cat's too fat to walk. Oh wait, then maybe I SHOULD walk her.

She's a beauty and weighs in at 23 pounds. :D

I've been off since July 17, 2007, and still crave cigarettes multiple times every day. Not as much as the first three months, but still bad enough to anger me that I'm such a slave to their addiction. I've read that cravings will last at least 10 years. At least.

I've talked to people who have been off 30 or more years and still experience fleeting cravings. You must never let down your guard. One cigarette could take you back to your old number in no time.

it is known that the cravings will go away after a while

if what your saying is "will vaping, keep my analog cravings from going away, compared to simply going cold turkey"

Then yes you need some long term members to answer, but i'm sure their answer is "Yes the cravings will go away".........in 10 years hahaha wow thats a long time. That would be good to know how long it takes on average.

Bob says over two years at least for him right...going on 3 years?

Uh oh, that 30 year comment is pretty scary but I believe it, considering how addiction works.

This is around the same time I had to start the count over and yes I am craving them again too especially with the fears of the FDA banning them threads. Last time it was real life stress with my husbands port.. Lord help us both...

I KNOW exactly what you are feeling.

Yes it does. Days 10 - 20 were probably some of the worst for me.

Okay thank you so much. It's good to know I'm not alone. I certainly LOVE vaping better than smoking that's for sure. But DAMN those chemical cravings on occasion. It's not constant, but it's more like after I eat or maybe have 1 drink.

Actually 5 days into just vaping I was curious and I just had a little craving so I bummed a smoke from a co-worker... The first drag was so disgusting I couldn't believe it, so I took three more drags just to be sure (ha,ha)and they were equally as gross! I tossed the rest of the ciggy and that is what clinched it for me... I haven't had even a tiny craving.

Trust me it was pretty bad...
