And then sometimes you just say "DUH"

Tripple digits half way to home
Last couple of days at work I've actually seen two customers with the new v2.5 Provari's. One lady had a satin white and the gentleman today had a satin black. Not certain yet if I really like the looks of the v2.5. Just my opinion but I still like the way my v2 looks. Anyway today a fellow employee told me I was needed out front and got me chatting with the gentleman that had the satin black. We did the Provari chat, (First people I've seen in my little town with Provari's so of course we started talking about them and how much we liked em.) Went back and started working again.
This is where it got wierd.
Fellow employee; "Hey the guy wants to know what to set his Provari at for a dual coil?"
Me; "whatever he likes"
Him; " yea but he want's to know if he should set it at 7 or 10 or if he can go higher?"
Me; "Do What?"
Him; "Yea what should he set his watts at?"
Me; "The Provari doesn't have a wattage setting. It's a VV."
Him; "So how do you know your vaping at 7 if it only goes to 6?"
:?: I don't run dual coil carto's so I can't suggest anything for him. Just tell him to adjust it to his personal taste"
Him; "So you can't run dual coil's on a provari, I'll let him know that"
Me; "Just shut-up and get away from him. I'll go talk to him"
Him; But you just said.............I cut him off and had a nice conversation with the Provari owner. Explained that I couldn't tell him what to set his device at cause it was all a personal preference.
My gut tells me that me and this co-worker are going to have to step into the back room or around the corner and have a very very long chat sometime next week.
And the odds are in my favor. :headbang:

Wow! I'm glad you're knowledgeable! And you got to see someone with a Provari in person. I'm the Lone Ranger here. The last time I went to my B&M I had a guy turn his nose up at me. They sell mostly smok products & yes I've purchased a mod from them before but this time I took it along with my Provari with me. Me & the owner had a nice chit chat about it & he seemed to like it...or at least he liked my $$ so he wouldn't say he didn't to my face. But one of the other customers acted like he was so disgusted with me. All I could say was wow! I didn't try to sell you one. I just wanted to buy some supplies & try out some samples on free sample night. That was my first & only experience so far with Provari hate. Sorry I got off topic but I'd forgotten all about it until now.

Chimney I deal with the Provari hate every day. I was the one that found the latest mod for the shop. (sorry rules forbid me from going into details). Yea it's a nice mod but still fires at the 37htz that most all the China made mods do. When asked about my Provari, I always say the same thing. "Don't knock it till you own it." I've started carring a Provari,(I've got all three sizes so I never know which one will go out that day) And also a mechanical Puresmoker Legacy, and a Inokkin MVP that I picked up this week. Sometimes I'll throw a kick in one of my Legacy's, but everyone that vapes my devices always has a smile on their face.
The most important thing I say to any and all vapors I meet is always the same. "It doesn't matter what your using as long as it works for you". If I'm ask about a specific device I'll always say my true feelings. If I think it's junk I call it junk. If it's decent I'll say that.
Just use what ever you have to to stay off the analogs.
We're all vapors and I don't hate on anyone or put anyone down for what they use. (even if they put me down for spending all the money I have for my toys). LOL.
Remember what Neil Young said. "It doesn't mean that much to me, to mean that much to you"
Or Jethro Tull. "My zero to your power of 10 equals nothing at all".
I love those songs. :toast:

Just take the high ground cuz if you get mad they win. Dual coils require twice the voltage/wattage to get the same effect as a single coil on a lower voltage cuz they are in parallel.

No high ground needed brother. I always win the battle and the war with this certain individual. He doesn't need me to make a fool of himself. He does a professional of looking like a fool on his own. LOL. Hope your doing well Steve

I totally agree! I honestly think it was hate from jealousy! Really...how do you hate a PV so much that you've never tried! I honestly didn't care! I was also taking one of my buddies to the vape ship for his first time that day. When we walked out all he could say was 'damn I'm gonna have to save up for one of those Provari's myself' & we both just started laughing! I love it & that's all that matters. Right now I have 2. One purple standard 2.5 & one silver 2.0 with an extension cap. I really like the design of the 2.5 though. I'm going to wait until my 1 year to get my 3rd! That one will probably be black! I love my Provari's!

I'll bet it's more jealousy than anything else, Chimney.

Jealousy or ignorance. Either way. Just use what works. I've got a lot of different PV's and they all do a nice job. Some just smoother and nicer than others.

Amen! As much as I love some of my mods, I only use my MPV daily at work. The form factor is much more school friendly. I've told them it's my "inhaler" and that pretty much ends the questions. Occasionally, they'll follow up with, "So that liquid is is the medicine?" I just say "Yep" (& smile to myself).

Medicine!! Well yea it really is. I'm so using that and the MVP fits the form factor perfectly.

Hey Bad! I see you live in Cin-city. Is Bogart's still open? I used to live in Lexington & drove up regularly (sometimes more than once a week - LoL) for shows.
Yeah, Bogarts is still open. I was just there last summer to see George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, and Parliment-Funkadelics. For being some 70 years old, ol' George can still pump out the funk and still smoking the funk on stage if you know what I mean. ;)

The surrounding neighborhood (at least Short Vine St.) has declined over the years. I wouldn't want to stray too far in the neighborhood due to safety issues, crime, etc. at night time. Get to your car after the show as fast as possible. The Cupboard is still there, too, but nothing like it once was. My ex had a coffee shop a few doors down for a couple of years a few years ago, so I spent quite a bit of time in the area back then.

Most of the acts that come to Bogarts now are grunge, metal, or rap artists...not my cup of tea.
