Shari, every liquid works for me with Joye attys on my ProV at 4.8/4.9v. On occasion one of my Joyes will read 2.3 ohms (but generally 2.2 ohms), and in that case of 2.3 ohms, I can go up to 5.0v, but 5.0v is rare. I have once gone to 5.1v, but since it offered nothing of added value, I just stayed to 4.9/5.0v.

The brilliance of the ProV is that you can actually discern a difference in those .1 increments. 4.8/4.9v is my sweet spot.

Maybe the lower voltages that I am using on the non tobacco juices is what is confusing me. I have having trouble finding sweet spots on many of my non tobacco juices, except for my Caramel Pear Black Tea which vapes like a tobacco for me.

I think I am not going high enough on the voltage and leaving a lot on the table. Most of my juices are now Ahlusion so I am not worried about the quality of the juices I vape. Back to the drawing board and more experimentation.

That reaction to the Vanilla Custard and Cinnamon really screwed up my tastebuds. It has been quite a long time now and still there is throwback to it with some flavors. I am also lowering my nicotine level. New juices are in at 12mg. Smooth Criminal at 18mg. I know this will probably affect taste to some degree.

My NLV Gold is still at 24mg. Next order will be lower and not as large in quantity. I am enjoying a few other juices now too, so I am branching out a bit.

Aw, but the steeping.

My biggest problem right now is that I got a whole bunch of new vaping toys all at once, I pulled the trigger on the ProVari and it was like everything else just started falling out of the sky. lol I spend quite a bit of time in the Nicoticket forum and got talked into, no arm twisting necessary, the Trident Clone and almost immediately won the Vision Eternity which arrived a couple of days before the Trident did. I love both of them but haven't actually built a coil yet, with the Eternity it came with 6 coil/wick setups and I'm planning on using them first since they work great. The Trident came with perfectly good dual coils and I carefully removed the wicks, washed all of the parts and made my own organic cotton wicks and it's vaping like a champ. I do love the Asipre ET-S for when I am out and about or just don't feel like dripping and they taste about as good as any of my drippers. I do plan on getting a Russian 91% but probably a clone, but I'm waiting a bit to see how people I know like the ones they ordered before pulling the trigger.

From what I am reading there are going to be some new and very nice RBA's coming out very soon so I may wait and see what pans out there, but I want to be as prepared as possible for whatever is coming in the way of regulations and/or bans. I expect there will at very least be a period of time when things become scarce at least for a while, either from the regulations themselves or people's fear of them.

If all goes well I will probably get another ProVari in a few months and then I'll be set with two dependable devices, I have the SID and it's ok, works well but a bit more fiddly. I've found the juice line I really like and have no desire to look further for now, even found a fruit I really like, not as an ADV but its a super palate cleanser and very tasty.

I know the feeling with changing a lot of your vaping tools at the same time. That is one of the main reasons I have not gotten an RBA yet. I just got my Provari and I am using the same 510 attys that I have been using for months. It is the only way I can really tell if and what the difference is. I see a bigger difference than I expected with my to adv tabaccos, NLV Gold and Ahlusion Smooth Criminal. The Gold seems more tobacco and a tiny bit less sweet on the Provari and I can vape it at a higher voltage than on my spinner and MVP2. The Smooth Criminal I vape at higher voltage too on the Provari. I do not know why.

The bakery and creamy fruits I am having trouble finding my sweet spot. Needs more playing.

I would hate to introduce another variable into the mix now. I like a dependable and consistent vape. I do not like flavors moving all the time on me. I am sorely tempted to get the Russian 91% RBA that Shek is offering, you can not beat the price. I am going to wait for the next round or for one to come up on the classys in the next few months. And, like you say, there is always the newest, latest and greatest just around the corner.

I have enough of everything to last me for the next year, I think. I have some nic base frozen so if I have to I can DIY in a few months or when I am ready. I think if I needed to vape on something other than my attys and was away from home more I would be more likely to get an RBA now.

You really have come a long way. I am very happy for you and you seem happy with where you are with your vaping. That is what counts. It always did seem like a natural progression for you to get into building your own coils, with your artistic talent.

I am finding that I am burning through those 18350s pretty quick. But I am using them most right now because I want to get a good estimate on the time I am getting off them. Of course, I keep forgetting to write it down and when Sirius starts blinking, I have forgotten how long I have been vaping on that battery. Will try that again tomorrow. I am also getting practice putting the standard end cap on. It is hard for me to get it on their with my arthritis but it gets a little easier each time I do it.

I should be getting my Tatroe ring and cone Monday. I am excited to see if they are made as well as everyone says. I will have to break down and get some 18650 batteries so I can try it out. Cartotanks are for down the road, I think.

HE HAS ARRIVED!!! My Black Satin Provari Mini, Sirius, arrived yesterday. He was comfortably encased in a protective padding to insure his safe arrival. Upon introduction he presented himself as befitting the Star that he is: clad in black satin with the distinctive weight that proclaims his quality. My gift accompanying him: two shields of drip in the royal colors of gold and purple. A fitting gift to protect that which is Provari Mini, Sirius, the Dog Star, from errant drops of liquid.

Batteries arrived by separate packet as it should be. The ceremony of charging began along with the period of wait. During this most solemn time Sirius took rest and warmth from the cold of travel. The chosen liquid of Ahlusion, Smooth Criminal, was brought forth from its vault and the shield of drip and a worthy Joye 510 atomizer was selected for the honor of First Vape.

It is time. Atomizer is primed and the Gold Shield of Drip was chosen. Sirius donned the atty and shield. Battery of AW IMR 18350 is installed. The Power button is pressed and he is ON. There is no clicky sound or resistance to the button. It is smooth as it should be like the threads of the end caps, like butter. The voltage is set and ready for the First Vape. The elixor of Smooth Criminal is carefully dripped into the atty. The button is gently pressed.

A smoothness of vapor and flavor is expressed for longer than the before known limit of 10 seconds. The pleasure of perfection of flavor and vapor continues much beyond all others. It truly is as the light of the stars. Sirius is Home and we are inextricably bound together.

Congrats Shari :). Very exciting to have a Provari Mini! I know I loooove mine :)

I am not sure if it has been recommended, but you ever are in need of a little more life out of the battery, once it starts flashing, take it out and put it back in. That should give you maybe 10 (or so) minutes extra on the battery before it flashes again.

I think I read something about that 'bonus' battery time. Good to know. I am very bad and tend to run my spinners and MVP2 into the ground. Don't want to do that with the Provari batteries unless I have to.

I am going to a local vape meet next Saturday and will be meeting up with a Nashville couple who frequent ECF. He is going to show me how to build a coil. I am very excited about that. It is something that I really want to learn. I have been thinking about getting a Russian 91% and that is necessary info to use it.

Imagine me, learning to build a coil. Who would have thought it 6 months ago.

My cousin and I plan to attend--maybe we can watch! Something I really need to learn to do!

Hi! Another Nashville area vaper! How nice to meet you. Yes, please do come. I do not go on Facebook no matter how much my son and daughter in law threaten to not send baby pics after the birth. I do not need the whole world having my personal info or me taking a chance of getting hacked.

The Wilhagans meet is supposed to start around 6pm. Karoke at 9pm so I will be gone by then. I hear that it is an anniversary bash. Since I do not do Facebook I don't know for sure. Would love to meet you there. I am an older lady with grey hair and will have an Army green ski jacket. And probably my Provari mini, but I may chicken out and take the spinner (don't want to lose the Provari).

I have watched a bunch of videos on how to build coils and it looks so easy. Then I come on ECF and keep reading threads by people who try it and can not get them to work right. I get confused by it. I really do want a Russian 91% and have signed up in an interest thread for one, or a Kayfun. But it is a lot of money to spend if you do not know if you can successfully build a coil for it. Plus, 95% of my vaping is done with dripping into a 510 atty and I do love it. So, we will see.

PM me your name so I can look for you Saturday. It would be a shame to miss meeting each other. Wilhagans is pretty easy to find. It is real close to the airport on Wilhagan Road. Can not really miss it, if you Google the place.

Yes it will be really nice to meet you. We plan to arrive right at 6:00 and probably will stay until around 9:00. I have a FB page so I have read the details on FB, and think I have a pretty good idea of exactly where it is. I will PM you some specifics so we can try to find each other. :)

Shari come round to reoville and check out superxdrifters micro coil build tutorial... I was horrible at coils before I read that thread... And now I get perfect coils every time! And get the kayfun/ Russian clone- everyone says they're really well built and comparable. If I didn't use reos I'd have one.. And trust me, try cotton... 15 minutes in the flavor is super duper and the cvs rolled cotton is SUPER CHEAP!
