I really still don't understand why any of this requires regulation from the government.
If people want to blow their hand up, let them.
I also don't understand why people that vape care about regulation. If vaping is illegal, just vape. Amazing. Problem solved.
Here's what kind of puzzles me...there seems to be a lot of hate for mech mod users and cloud chasers in this thread. can we all take a step back and remember where we are please? this is ECF, we do not vilify vapers on their choice of device here.
Here's what kind of puzzles me...
When cloud-chasers go out of the house and vape in public, do they tone it down?
And if so, does it become significantly less satisfying?
Maybe a topic for a new thread.

No its people who have made up their minds about something they have little to know facts about that is going to ruin vaping the way we enjoy it now. Pretty much just the exact same way you just did. These are the kinda stories that will eventually ruin the vaping world. All these stupid "cloud chasing" competitions and events. What the hell ever happened to using vaping as an alternative to smoking? Pumping tons of vapor into your body, ultimately to show off and 'out-do' other people? What a joke. Just a bunch of losers.
You're in the wrong thread.
This thread was started in early February. The links you posted refer to a different exploding mod. Here is the link to the thread regarding the links you posted: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-vaping-discussion/658404-happened-bring-antz.html
Like it or not mech mods can never be totally safe and imo should only be used by people with a very good understanding of everything involved even then things can go bad and cause injury. What absolutely should not be happening in any responsible industry or community is the selling and promoting of mech mods to new users regardless of how much they really really want one. Nor should new users be sub ohming and before anyone makes and installs sub ohm coils they should ask why someone needs them to make that setup for them because barring a medical reason anyone who knows about something has the ability to do it themselves. I've seen too many sales made to people who dont have the first clue on what they are doing and I am now banned from the nearest b&m to me because i made that clear in the shop amongst other things.
The vaping industry is not currently regulated and there are far too many people cashing in on vaping and not caring about the safety of their customers by selling completely inappropriate setups out there. Government has to regulate it because we can't as a community there is very little we can do to affect the bad elements out there now selling dangerous and bad quality setups. A regulated standard of quality is needed, guaranteed quality on eliquid are any of us really opposing being able to have peace of mind that our eliquid is as safe as it can be?. Minimum age also likely 18 here in the UK not sure of the age in america, proper training for anyone involved in anything more then pure selling of equipment which should also have a knowledge training element so they can at least advise responsibly.
People may not like any or some of that but if we don't get behind and frame some common sense regulations to allow the governments to be seen to be doing something we will end up with non vapers and those with no interest in vapings future doing it for us the wild west days of vaping are coming to an end how it goes is up to us
Oh and the stupidity of most of the debate in this thread shows why we need something so much off topic rubbish made this a hard thread to read.
