I believe for the 18650's efest rates them at 35a continuous, but they are well know to overate their batteries. Most according to tests are only 20a continuous. I'm not sure about the 18500's.

I have flat tops of those same batteries. And, yes, consider them 20A. That's plenty for most of my builds.

The only atty I need 30A batteries for is the Aromamizer and its on a Sigelei 100W with two vtc4s.

I may still get a Gizmo someday. I've always liked it, and like the colors.

Oh yes, Efest is well known for exaggerating their specs, and re-wrapping as well. On one web page I found a pic of an unwrapped Efest battery that was really a Sony VTC4. Okay, I have 8 of those, and I'm glad to have them. I can't find VTC4's anywhere around here, but now I know what to order from Amazon when I want them :)

Looks like a good price on those roxy. I'm an AW fan. I did buy a couple LG HE2's, and a Sammy 25R when I got a Sigelei 30watt mod, as I needed flat tops for that, but it fried after three weeks of use. That ended my trial of cheap VV/VW mods. Now I use those batteries in my Provaris, and they are good batteries, never used a Sony tho.

@Vaslovik Flat tops won't work.

That's nothing a dab of solder won't fix.

I bought a Kato Square Box Mod clone, very similar to this. It was cool for about a week, but in the end I couldn't tolerate the voltage drop. Replacing that wimpy spring with a countersunk screw helped some, but the vape quality wasn't up to my standards. The other issue was the weight... something that small that weighs as much as a can of coke, and it got old quick.

The Gizmo has no springs in it. There is a brass bar in the bottom cap that the positive end of the batt contacts. As far as voltage drop goes, I can't tell, I have no way of checking that on this mod. It seems to hit as well as well as any other mod I have tho, and I have Provaris, Poldiacs, Reos mods, and SuperT Workhorses. It is heavy, the heaviest of the mods I have, and I don't carry it with me for out and about because of this. If I had a holster for it I would, I just can't drop it in a shirt pocket.

Vtc4s are $6 from illumn.com. I just bought 6. I was anticipating buying an istick 100W and needing 2 married pairs, but both places I ordered from ran out of stock. I refuse to pay an extra $18 to order from someone who does have stock. I'm much too cheap.

Hey Roxy, thanks for the pointer! I went there and tried to order 4 of them, but they only had 3 and said one would have to be back-ordered. I'm thinking you bought that one :)

I just went back and tried to buy two of them, and they were sold out. Wow....

Then I saw they had VTC5's and ordered two of them. I assume they are genuine, and not re-wrapped fakes.

Its a trustworthy vendor. I wanted the vtc4s as they have a higher amp rating according to Mooch's tests. Four of them were for a 100W mod.
