Wow, when was smoking ever cool? Really? Smoking was never "cool" Marketing had to advertise it that way to cover up the fact that the act of smoking is so very Uncool. They employed Jedi mind tricks on the weak minded to make them perceive that it looked cool.

Edit: Sorry, didn't mean that to be harsh. What I meant to say is that I was only joking around. I :censored: myself here to point out never to take me seriously unless in person or PM. I can't really break Ohm's Law either, so that too is a joke. We all need to stop quoting each other for one day, like a National Quote Out, instead of harping on every damn little thing every damn one of us says all the time. Hang me first. :)

I'd venture to say that anyone who thinks tobacco in a paper tube is better than vaping is still hooked. In order to really enjoy vaping you have to break the addiction and let your taste buds regrow. I did that by vaping and smoking side by side for a week or so. When I smoked one of the 6 cigs a day I thought I had to hang on to, I'd take a puff and then a vape. That convinced my brain how nasty the paper tube ciggie was. I was able to make a determinate decision and throw them away.

I've never looked back and don't even want one when people smoke around me. I just vape and enjoy it. I really never thought that vaping with a cup of coffee would be enjoyable or a vape after a meal would be satisfying, but it's just fine once you get rid of the stinkies.

I vaped and smoked for a week before I bought my last pack of cigarettes and migrated to 100% vaping. I don't get an urge to smoke a cigarette even when I'm around people smoking. I also can't get over how awful they smell now. At first I thought that was just a thing us ex smokers would say to help us get through the transition, but it turns out to be the truth.

I know when I was on high school and in my early 20's smoking was cool. My coworker who was in Vietnam said smoking was extremely cool when he was younger. Just cause it isn't healthy and destroys things doesn't mean it was never cool

This is not cool?

Of course smoking is cool. Doesn't mean it is good or healthy. What the hell cool ever is? Jeddi mind tricks by Big Tobacco and Madison Avenue, phooey, like people have no defenses of their own. It's called will power.

Went to a restaurant in the burbs yesterday, wow, 99% of the people there were overweight. No exaggeration. Steady stream, in and out, of fat people. Never once did I think of blaming the restaurant.

Vaping / no contest.

I was originally a menthol smoker but gave it up because after a while of smoking full flavor / heavy menthol - you basically have cold symptoms when you wake up in the morning until you hit the shower. I ended up on Malboro lights which, I hated but got used to.

Being able to vape a menthol - and not feel like crap? Yes. Where do I sign? It was an instant YES for me.

The side is that I can do cotton candy, or bubble gum, or menthol watermelon berry. Or any of the other awesome things. Orange cream. Strawberry. It's an absolute no brainer.

For me it was never an acquired taste. It was tolerance. This is just so much better.

I'm in the process of using my vape to quit cigarettes. It's just breaking the habit now. I'm down to less than half of what I was smoking a few months ago. I'm gearing up to quit entirely.

I, like everyone here it seems, definitely prefer my vape. I can control my nic intake, I can breathe easier, and I can do it in my house. Plus, I don't smell like cigarettes! Everyone wins.

When I got into vaping, e liquid seemed to be a substitute for analogs. Just good enough to keep me off them, but recently, after having quit analogs for so long, I actually tried an analog, and honestly, it was pretty nasty, and went right back to smoking my ry4, which is so much better. This was quite surprising, I never thought that I would actually enjoy vaping more than the "real thing". Anyone else feel this way?
naw..........
but it's e-cig is something i got use to over time. nowadays i don't even touch analogs.

I started smoking when i was 15, before then i had always been sickened by the smell of cigarette smoke. started vaping a month ago stopped smoking that day. Since then i have tried one cigarette, the other night, while i was drinking with some friends, and i almost blew chunks. the smell of cigarette smoke once again makes me a bit sick to my stomach. Don't know what i was thinking ever smoking.
