I don’t have the patience to read this whole thread but is Anna the only Covid case? If so, the hypothesis I’m considering is that PG is the deciding factor to keep vapers free from Covid. Anna if I’m not mistaken doesn’t vape PG but uses Peg400 and even that is a low percentage. So Anna try vaping some High % PG juice and your symptoms should clear up in the next day or so. To be clear here I am not a doctor and I don’t work in the medical field so I might not be the best person to listen to on this but it could be helpful being PG is anti-something and kills some stuff. So you heard it here first PG cures Covid...maybe?

So far I'm the only one not dead from it (apparently) I know @Eskie's daughter got it rather badly but I don't remember if she vapes.

I, uh, am pretty much desperate to try anything at this point but since I am going to the ER (I called ahead, to Banner in Tucson they are expecting me tomorrow and are gonna do a TON of tests except the antibodies one which I should call my PCP to get ordered since I can get it done In Tucson apparently but only with an order. I decided to go there because I spent an hour on the phone with their nurse help line and triage nurse and they were both rather sympathetic.

IDK PG really hurts. It causes a pins and needles effect in my respiratory system. I'm not quite sure I am ready for that yet. I also have ANEMIA thanks to another doctor's efforts to 'Fix" what was not even A PROBLEM and I have read that makes you susceptible to COVID 19.

All I have to say is if I don't get better soon like I plan on just taking to bed and not eating or drinking until it passes or I am dead. Starve a virus? IDK. I really NEED to get on that quest site and then call my doc but I am SO fried. I better do it though or he will not get to it. Okay OOF here goes.

Interview went well. Otherwise, life is sucking. There is something wrong with my nose today The passage between it and my throat and whatnot all hurt like CRAZY I am sick of THIS MAN.

Well that sounds like it sucks but rest assure I will not stop coming up with reasons to vape to improve your condition. Ok here goes, I seen a commercial that Truth put out. It shows some kid vape and they say when vaping you could be inhaling heavy metals. Well it turns out iron is a metal and I’ve picked up pieces of iron before and it’s heavy. Still with me? Good, well I didn’t go to medical school but I seem to think that anemia has something to do with low iron in your blood maybe? Well vaping=heavy metal=iron=anemia=the cure. So as I see it, vaping say maybe 50/50 juice so you don’t get too much PG causing you any more pain because you sound like you’ve been through enough. Between the iron inhaled via vaping and the anti-septic qualities of PG you should be good to go in no time. I mean come on, Truth dot com and Madstabber said so!!!
On a serious note, I hope you feel better Anna, take care of yourself because I enjoy reading your posts as I know many others do also. This place is much more fun with you around so get better, as a wise shoe once said Just Do It!!!

I'm going to say, you haven't quite hit my confidence level.

Well Truth ran the commercial that said if you vape you are inhaling heavy metals. It’s in the name Truth they simply cannot lie. As far as Anemia being low iron in the blood, or that simply inhaling heavy metals with increase the iron in your blood, you’re right to be suspicious. I’m not sure that’s how it works so questioning me is quite alright but if you are, for one second, questioning that vaping is inhaling heavy metals then you sir are OUT OF LINE!!! That’s the Truth giving facts and they are not capable of lying. If not for the Truth I never would have found out I’m vaping antifreeze and formaldehyde, not to mention the very real risk of popcorn lung. So questioning me is A O.K. but don’t you dare question the Truth, they are rock solid and spread nothing but facts.

Hospital went especially great because I was so freaking sleep deprived, I was docile like Bambi which was fortunate for my care as like, normally in hospitals I am feral like a coyote and my moods are like, flickering like the florescent lights. I decided no Banner I was hearing they were keeping people longer than needed to bill for it and I was like, "Nu uh thanks." I would not have dealt with that well. The staff was like good they were all using PPE and the doc was like "Meh you have a fever, cough, and wheeze." I was like, "yup for 6 weeks now, dude." Then he was like "You might have COVID but IDK we will do another test although really you need an antibody test but we don't have them."

I thought the test would be ALL chill because the drive though one I did didn't hurt at all . Only it's because they barely tickled my nose hairs dude they were CLUELESS what they were doing. I told the nurse, "Oh no biiggie I have had one," only 2 minutes in ,he told me it was okay to "Grab something" and then also a few minutes later "To cry." Brain still hurts but if there is ANY covid left, he got it. Ouch.

It made me MAD though about the first test Cochise county has artificially low numbers and my program (which encompasses ALL the major cities there) is doing 90% of the testing they are the "blitz" sites for Cochise county. If I DID have COVID then they CERTAINLY would not have picked up on it.

So, eh, he did that took 17 vials of blood put in a hep lock and they did NOT want me breathing on anything. When I had to pee they brought me that old person mobile bathroom and the guy pretended like he needed a UA (he did not.) I think if they could have locked me in they would have but MAN. Hospitals in Tucson do NOT play.

In any case, then there was much long waiting and I totally behaved and I kept getting updates by the HUSBAND on how I was doing "They were really worried about you coming in but the labwork is all GOOD.." I was like, GOOD how, what did they test WTH? They doc was not happy with my fingers but I informed him I had clubbed fingers from my 3ppd habit, like and yeah Tucson is HOT and I have been a bit more swollen but not a LOT etc. But he still ordered an EKG. Which was like, fine. Also, uh right as I was like, "Surely they can test me not MORE" well they did a contrast MRI or EEG or whatever, the one where you can't have metal I kept saying YOU WILL NOT EXPOSE MY implants to the machine, right, I mean they were EXPENSIVE.

Dude anyway MRI guy was all super anxious. He told me all the bad stuff that MIGHT happen including "blowing a vein' where the contrast just like leaks all into you Michelin man style and I was like "I like my veins, they are awesome PLEASE don't let that happen dude. I would have preferred anaphylaxis probably because like, it sounded NOT nice but fortunately all that went smoothly and I do not have ANY signs of COPD vaping like, at ALL and well, even my scar gone apparently but I had lots of "inflammation" but no bacterial infection. I was like, to the doc "How come I still am getting fevers then?" and he was all, "You are getting them because well, maybe it's COVID but inflammation that just keeps going can cause fevers anyway." So I was like all "Fine" and he referred me to a pulmonologist and like, said it could be asthma or allergies and I was like "I don't really get wheezing unless I'm really sick. I am not allergic to stuff even your CT contrast apparently." I demanded to know if like, it would make me sicker if I had COVID but he was like "No not after 5 weeks I don't think." I wanted to say, "My mommy said it could linger for months" but then remembered I was a 45 year old woman and it would be dumb. I asked for the non psychosis steroids dude, but like, uh, that did not appear to be possible the doc did not know what I was talking about and I was like, oh well, prednisone I guess I know what it doe" so like I did not push the issue.

The only non compliant thing I did was like take off all the dang sensors they attached me too I couldn't take it any more. I almost ripped out my hep lock (I have done so before, sometimes even when attached to drips even but like I was like, "maybe a bit too much Linda Hamilton I don't want to get escorted upstairs to psych."

So yeah I am all on my first dose of steroids, and meh. We will see what the test says .A big fat nothing I am guessing.

But yea, gonna be all roided up for a while. Apologies in advance and all that.

I got offered a job in WV I believe I will be taking it, etc."

It was not fun.

Better, still recovering and rebuilding muscle and brain mass. Also: nof fun.

I will admit to there being times were I was like ready to scream, "Just let me get worse enough to go be on a vent although I have heard that way sucks and stuff, but I figured I might get some form of effective treatment or just die..

I don't know how folks deal which chronic health stuff I am for the most part physically healthy but this one knocker me right upon my rear end.

LOL.

Oh please don't make me repeat all that stuff about the tests and their unreliability. My mom is making me get an antibody test before I go visit and thankfully another lab (with a test with much higher specificity) is doing them and making your insurance pay for it without a doctor's order. I gotta schedule it. Should be delightful.

But no I had one negative test (performed incorrectly I know this from getting one done in the hospital man. It's unpleasant. It was NOTHING like the first test and the ER doc was like, 'It's too late in the game really but I'm gonna test you anyway." If the first test had been done correctly it probably would have been positive. I'm glad it wasn't anyway I won't have the weird quarantines, if any, to deal with.

However, when I get the antibody test you will be the first to know. Every doctor dx with COVID and I don't think there is some "flu" going around that lasts 7 WEEKS before your temperature goes down.

There is this odd thing doctors used to do called, "Diagnosis by symptoms not testing." COVID actually forced doctors to do that. and that is what happened, to me, with five of them. I believe the doctors and I don't think despite my AWESOME bodily self control I would have been able to make me that sick an elevate my temperature for that long. I just don't. So I don't need a positive test like a plume on my hat, I am good thank you.
