The Mini doesn't appear to be much shorter than reg A7. As it is smaller diameter, 12.3 mm, then I would not expect the caps to be interchangeable. I forget the ID of REO Mini well but I think it should accomodate the OD of A7 Mini. Also as the A7 works well with our bottom feeders I imagine the Mini will too. Why would they change a working system? At any rate I've ordered a Mini A7 and I'll bet others will too. There will more than likely be shorter BF RBAs coming out shortly.

A7 Mini is almost as tall as regular A7. Hornet and ERA are shorter than REOmizeer.

Correction..... REOmizer and ERA are almost the same height; Hornet is a fraction of a mm taller than REOmize and ERA.

Outstanding, Alice! Thanks for the info and the pix!

I'm waiting with bated breath for you to get your mini A7 to see if it fits in a REO Mini. If it does, I'm havin' me one o' them for my 18490!

You're welcome. It was so nice out today I was able to take some quick snaps. The wooden holder is one of Terry's (Tmcase) Trippy (or any DT worthy of it) Stands. Of course the Bubs were helping me...... several hundred pounds of excited canine..... and going out to deck all of the RBAs jumped out of the holder onto grey Trex decking. Luckily, as I've said before, they are grown up now so they don't "eat" everything I've touched. And the RBAs are large enough to not get wedged into Jake Mastiff's pads.

Hoping Surface will get here soon; hoping faster than predicted.... coming from Germany via DHL. Will do group shot as soon as A7 Mini arrives and then again when Surface arrives. A7 Mini probably won't make it till next week. I see no reason why it won't fit. And the center post is adjustable just like on A7. Actually I ordered two so I could torch one.

BTW.... as soon as I get a tiny portion of my s**t together I'm going to be selling some Trippy's to offset what I'm spending on RBAs.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

It's been my experience that when rebuilding the Eternity you pretty much have to use either 34 or 36 gauge wire or you stand a chance of breaking the posts when you push the caps on. Other than that it works pretty well.

Jack

I haven't rebuilt it yet but I certainly see what you are talking about. I've just been doing quick soak in PGA and dryburning. From the very start I could tell I like the screws better than the Eternity smush down thingies..... even though we old timers complain about the tiny things.

Hugs you Mountain Goat, Feisty Alice

Any of those offloaded Trippys glow in the dark? My 2.0's got a glowy, but it's the only one that isn't a Trippy.

Yeah, one is. Actually I have two, almost identical. I got one for DH and one for me. He doesn't like anything but Pawns, Mings, plain old cheap-o black Delrin. These are the ones I'll be letting go but there are more. I just need to find time to cull and think about.

LOL...I ordered one a couple of hours ago, Feisty, to fit on my one wood...I can get the bottom of the ERA's on it, but I have to put the cap on after the base is screwed in.

I'm battling 20lb Mastiff head that is playing dead and won't relinquish room for my Notebook to fit in the small space left in my lap. Hard to type. They have me so trained!!!

As far as tall caps on A7 it looks to me like about 0.5 inch, or a little less, slice can be removed from A7 cap, leaving top part and bottom threaded part intact, and sill function properly. That would give the whole height, cap and base screwed together, about a 1" height above the bottom of base where threaded atty connection starts. For 'spermiting the remaining top and bottom portion of cap could be nontoxic JB Weld(ed) and then air proofed with temporary slice of carto condom around the join. This could be crudely done using a good cutting wheel on dremmel or even hand sawed with a mini hack saw and fine blade. Both I have but no time do I have. I would love to do it right now but I just don't have the extra time. Maybe someone will do it this weekend. hope, hope, hope.... maybe I can grab a few minutes to do it..... hope, hope, hope....
