Zombie Survival Guide Tidbit of the day for March 9th

Today's topic has to do with measuring the 4 levels of intensity of a Zombie Attack.

Class 3 is today's lesson. This is a true crisis where zombies will number in the 1000's and cover an area of several hundred miles. The duration & clean up process could last for several months.
The guide says that there will be no chance for a press blackout or cover-up, and this will be a full blown battle with military forces coming in instead of police. A state of emergency may be declared for the infested area as well as neighboring areas. Expect restricted travel, rationed supplies and strictly monitored communications. Riots, looting and panic too.
So, you know, like normal...

And people think I spend too much time thinking about zombies... :D FWIW, I don't recall the exact spacing between utensils, but I'm still pretty sure I can set a 'proper' placesetting down to the bread plate and chaffing dish. My backwoods Arkansas daddy made sure I knew how to sit at dinner, ANY dinner, without embarrassing myself or my family's name. He literally grew up in a two room shack with one side of the same board being 'inside', and the other 'outside', and the road to the bus stop being not three but three and a half pretty darn hilly miles of odometer confirmed Arkansas clay. To say it was interesting to see him walk around the old homestead is an understatement! He found an old mother of pearl button in the dirt and not only remembered the whipping he got for loosing it, but the date and day it happened. He gave it to my grand mother 50 years later when we got back. All she had to say was "Took you long enough to find it, maybe I didn't motivate you hard enough...". Talk about putting things in perspective for a, then young, me! Needless to say, I didn't need much motivation after that, a look was more than enough! :D

Today's topic is Zombie Attributes; Motivation
Here are the highlights;

Why do zombies prey upon the living? Human flesh has no nutritional purpose for them.
Science & history shows that they will consume any creature no matter their size or species.
Human flesh is preferable to other life forms.
Instinct brought on by Solanum drives the undead to kill and devour any living creature they discover.
No exceptions noted.

Hmmm. so, what I'm left wondering is this..If they EAT animals, can the animals become zombies
if bitten ? Will we have zombie bunnies after all?

I would say if they eat them, then the animals can be turned, which sucks, because I was relying on the animals not being able to become infected as part of my z-plan. My luck, I will kill an infected squirrel and when I eat the squirrel stew that night, I become infected as well.

If animals can get infected, Mac's Buffet and Casino is looking better and better.

All up in your grill..
Hmmm, you might have tipped your hand with the Evil Minion part. Maybe change it to "Mac's Happy Happy Super Fun-Time Resort and Casino"?

Nonsense. Zday changes everything. Traditional estimations of morality and ethics will be completely gone. The resulting chaos will make the definition of what is morally attractive very, very different. When the zombie apocalypse comes, my smiling face will be the only one you can trust.

Zombie Survival Guide Calendar March 11th
Topic; Recorded Attacks; Dec.1992 Joshua Tree Nat'l Monument, Calif.

Park rangers discovered Sharon Parsons dead, her head caved in by a large rock & her body covered with human bite marks. Her boyfriend, Patrick MacDonald, had been camping in the park the previous week.
Autopsy of Parsons revealed her esophagus contained traces of human flesh that matched MacDonald's recorded blood type. A clerk on duty at a nearby gas station described MacDonald as haggard, frenzied & holding a bloody cloth over his shoulder. MacDonald was last seen heading west, toward Los Angeles.
((OK, so What are they saying..He's a zombie? She WAS a zombie? He bit her? She bit him? I'm confused))

Well, today's calendar tidbit is a little lacking. So, I've once again dug into the recycle bin and pulled out Feb.11th, which introduces the weapon Shuriken. Apparently it's a good weapon to bring down a zombie, but takes lots of practice.
Are any of you Shuriken masters? If so - please let us know. You'll move up the List of Important People to recruit...

Zombies hunters dont use throwing stars. In my shoulder rig, I do have 6 throwing knives, but for effect only. The best use for the throwing knives I have will be using them as spear points. I have been practicing throwing knives for a little bit and while I am pretty good at getting them the stick, and usually stick pretty close to my intended target, the problem comes with the penetration. I just dont think I can throw the knives hard enough or consistantly enough to kill. If there was only one zombie, I might take a chance and throw a couple to see the damage I can do, but for the most part, when Z-day does hit, I wont be throwing any of my weapons towards the undead.
