We have enough problems coming at us from the Feds, the states, and the ANTZ. Can we PLEASE stop bickering with each other? Cloud chasers, sub-ohmers and people who build Clapton coils (Those look impossible!) are not the enemy here. Those who would take away our right to vape or tax it out of existence are!

I vape for one reason and one reason only.....to not use tobacco! All I need is to have an alternative that emulates tobacco, anything or style beyond that is, IMO taking away from the intended purpose and in many ways detrimental to the purpose in many naysayers minds.

Are cloud chasers posers?....no, but not of any help either.....for the intended purpose. :smokie:

Some of us are so addicted, we need much more then that. I can't vape something that emulates a cigarette or I'm smoking. I need a nice cloud loaded with flavor and nicotine

I have been a member of different internet forums (politics, current events, gun forums, etc) for almost 20 years now. I have to say, without a doubt, ECF is the most judgmental forum I have ever been involved with.

People are judged on what they vape, how they vape, whether or not they have tattoos, their age, their hairstyle, how they dress, facial hair, and the list goes on. And of course, if someone has a different opinion than most, whether they are on this forum or not....then they are dismissed as stupid, idiots, ......, etc.

Sorry for the rant, but this crap lately about people that vape differently than you, vape higher wattages than you, or exhale more vapor than you, is getting to be a bit much.

Just my :2c:

We must not read the same threads! I find the "whatever gets you to your happy place" crowd much bigger than the "you're not doing it right" folks!!
I agree that the threads I was talking about in my above post are fortunately not the majority of threads, but there are enough of them, past and present, that make me just shake my head. Of course, this is just my opinion, and I have no doubt there will be those who disagree.

I'm tired of reading about how people are tired of reading about what other people are doing. Don't like it? Don't post about it. Good or bad, right or wrong, everyone has an opinion.

Besides, we all know it's those crazy snowboarders that are ruining it for everyone!

I think it's hilarious personally, I don't think of them as posers, but in regards to the folks attending these competitions I do wonder about their sense of dignity I guess, haha.

I will say that I seriously question the judgement of non-smokers that start vaping, if I'd never been a smoker vaping would have no purpose for me, and this gives the government another excuse to "regulate" vaping more and more. The sad truth is that ignorant and insecure young people are attracted to the shiny and gaudy look of mech mods and big clouds, and now we have B&M's with zero concern for battery safety sending these young {Moderated} on their way with their new "toys".

Too many people get defensive when others don't agree with them or vape how they vape. So what? Quit getting butthurt over it. This is the internet, people are gonna post what they want. Quit taking things to heart all the time.

When I started vaping, it was all about the throat hit for me. Seeing a visible amount of vapor on the exhale was also important in fulfilling a need to emulate smoking. In the 3 short months I've been vaping, I've come to dislike the throat hit and prefer a smooth feeling in my throat. I'm not necessarily cloud chasing in that I want to be able to blow vapor 10 feet across the room, but I do like seeing a nice dense cloud on exhale. So for me, it's not about the size of the cloud as it is more about the thickness of the cloud.

Yep. I'm really going to have to say ECF isn't as pleasent then it used to be before all this new tech became popular. What used to be a place I could come to and calm my cigarette cravings is becoming a place that makes me want to pick up a cigarette. I really think this place needs to create and enforce a no judgement policy.

Somebody claimed earlier that I was a troll and that this thread was not productive.

This thread has been very productive for me, because I've gotten many replies and opinions about this topic.

So thanks to anybody who has replied to this thread.
I think the problem is your wording. Just as I left another thread judging Sub-Ohms, BAM!!! Another one follows.
