Stop trying to confuse me! :D (j/k)

I get everything mixed up except directions. Everyone tells me where to Go. :(

Is there a way to perma ignore ECF users? Some of these people spend spend every minute of their life on this forum just to make responses to every thread I happen to post in. I can go 6 months without posting on this forum and the minute I make a post or reply, the same no lifers appear. Seriously ... is wrong with these people?

Figured I'd add my bit for the OP. I like cloud chasing because when I smoked, I took pretty full lung hits whether it was cigarettes or cigars. The more I started vaping, the less I liked throat hit. I use high or max VG juices at low nic, 3-6mg and use a mech and dripper wherever I use. Usually, I don't go for the big, fill my lungs kind of hits unless I'm in my house or in the car, with the AC breaking up the cloud instantly and having no issues with visibility. While out and about, I keep my hits a bit smaller but they are still quite big since I always took lung hits, and from the comments at my usual B&M I seem to have a nice lung capacity.

I usually don't use my mod indoors at other places, but if I'm somewhere and I felt like using it, I'll ask and take very small hits. I only did this once after I got a new setup, and was told it shouldn't be a problem.

I have been a member of different internet forums (politics, current events, gun forums, etc) for almost 20 years now. I have to say, without a doubt, ECF is the most judgmental forum I have ever been involved with.

People are judged on what they vape, how they vape, whether or not they have tattoos, their age, their hairstyle, how they dress, facial hair, and the list goes on. And of course, if someone has a different opinion than most, whether they are on this forum or not....then they are dismissed as stupid, idiots, ......, etc.

Sorry for the rant, but this crap lately about people that vape differently than you, vape higher wattages than you, or exhale more vapor than you, is getting to be a bit much.

Just my :2c:

Yeah. I hate to say it, but I'm starting to agree with you. When I first joined this forum, I was so excited to see an internet forum that was free from drama and trolling, and that seemed so welcoming. I don't know what it is but it seems like in the last little while this place has started devolving. I maybe stop by here every couple of days instead of every single day, because TBH all the "cloud chasers suck" threads and general bickering about anything is starting to bore the crap out of me. The last post I made, I got my head bit off by someone because I used a term that he thought was incorrect, and boy let me tell you I really enjoy condescension in my free time.

Don't get me wrong, there is still information to be had here. It's just that wading through pages and pages of bickering about minutia and judgmental crap gets old. If I were a newbie vaper right now, reading the threads on this forum that I have read in the past month or so, I wouldn't want to join this site. I wouldn't want to ask anyone for any advice or attempt to participate in any discussion. Is that really what this site is supposed to be about? Is ECF turning into just another place where people go to anonymously be crappy to one another for jollies?

When I joined the forum, most new vaper posts were about vaping to quit smoking, not what clone set up do I need to blow clouds... The rest involved ProVari...

Yeah, well, most 'new vapers' weren't previous smokers. Just on the vaping train for somthing to do. Vaping is attractive to people. "What, you mean I can blow huge clouds of smoke with a cool looking tube thing with a light on it? Awesome! "

2015.

Yeah, I see threads like that sometimes. I just ignore them, because I don't know anything about that and I don't find it interesting. I don't have to prove anything to myself or make myself feel special and superior by telling those posters how stupid they are. I'm not interested in a variety of topics, but when I hear people in the bar having a conversation about something that I don't care about, I don't need to go up to them and start telling them what idiots they are for being interested in something that I don't like.

And I've seen more than one thread lately that started out with someone fairly new to vaping asking a legitimate question only to have their entire thread derailed by a bunch of know it alls carping back and forth to one another like junior high school girls.

I once went into an ecig store were the store owners were exhaling huge amounts of clouds to the point that the whole store was hazy. I was new to vaping at the time, but it made me feel out of my depth and a bit too intimidated to ask for help. While I don't think they are posers, I do think it alienates a lot of newbies who just want to quit smoking without feeling they have to learn a new craft and invest in expensive set ups to truly enjoy vaping.

I've found that it's better to refrain from making any response in a thread that starts with "I just started vaping, which subohm tank works the best".

Personally I blame mech mod users for it. They were the ones who started this whole cloud chasing and subohm fad.

My biggest question is, why do people care so much about what others are doing? Don't want to cloud chase? Don't. Pretty simple. Why is it so imperative for your way of vaping to be the "right" way? People like what they like, they aren't harming you, nor are they harming the vape industry.... We owe many of our inovations to a bigger is better mind set.
Another thing.... Why the heck is it so important to some that vaping is only for former smokers?!? You would rather they go start smoking first? That kind of thinking is buying into the Antz propaganda.... That vaping, even though better then smoking, must be bad for you somehow. That ignores the studies out that show less harmful chemicals in it then the air in a large city....less carcinogens then that steak many of you may have had for dinner, etc... Even if they do find a way in which vaping can be bad for you, I'd much rather see someone start on vaping if it keeps them from ever picking up a cigarette!
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

I smoked cigarettes for 6 years (from 15 to 21) and was able to quit using a basic ego style battery and the CE4 tanks. I also used to smoke hookah when I used to smoke, which puts off a far greater amount of smoke than cigarettes, hence is why I also use RDA's and high watts to "cloud chase".
I have also been able to go from 18mg of nictotine e-juice down to 6mg, plus I cut my juices in half with straight vg, making it more like 3 mgs when I am using an RDA.

I have no right to judge someone based on their desire to vape with whatever equiptment they want to. It's like me judging someone for wearing some flashy Nike hi-tops while I'm wearing some Doc Martins lol. It's all personal preference.

Let's be honest right now. Posers were already posers. Cloud chasing or not.

"Haters going to hate"

Is what one would say.

I read every reply & was thinking this all along- you're just the first to say it.

If the OP were to see me, I'd probably 'look' like a poser to them & I'd be fine with that cause what another person thinks about my vape or style of vaping is not going to make me change up what I'm doing for their benefit.

If cloud chasers bother one like that, they should stay home & vape & let the rest of us do us!
