I see some nice Genisis atties but no hybrids...
Hybrids do not have separate battery sections. They are built as one unit, eliminating the troublesome battery-atomizer junction. Most hybrids do incorporate Raidy's Genisis operating principles.

Droooiiid does!

My signature is a hybrid and the pic below as well....bad karmaii... You mentioned that most hybrids feature genesis attys... The better way of looking at that is all hybrids have Rebuildable attys and tanks... And virtually all Rebuildable attys with a tank can be configured as a genesis, or silica, or ceramic... There are loads of options... Including genesis.

I sure would love to get a hold of one of those Orion tanks with a 510 connector attached instead of a battery compartment. I use home grown VV box mods so I need a connector there. It's pretty hard for me to use an unregulated mod anymore. Battery fade annoys the hell out of me. Plus, my box mods give me features a basic mod can't offer.

If someone made a "hybrid" as you say with all the bells and whistles, that would be a consideration. So far, I've only seen them with a battery compartment and that's it, no electronics to speak of. Gotta have that stuff. Sure do like the looks of that Orion tank though, like a miniature Scubagen. I want it. Wonder if I could just buy an Orion, cut off the battery compartment and stuff a 510 connector on the tank.

IMO these hybrids are made not to fail. Why they don't have the bells and whistles. They are just a solid PV that cranks vapor and if it fails you can fix it yourself. That's what I like about them. If my provari fails there could be like 8 things why its not working and 6 of them they have to fix. These you just go through an elimination process and your up and going in 10 minutes. Perfect for me because I want to vape NOW, not when someone else fixes the PV. Just my two cents

I own a Provari and a couple of Infinitys... they are outstanding PVs... With cartos and off the shelf attys, I see a real need for the gizmos... to dial in that perfect vape where I have no control of the atty or carto...

But with a hybrid... fully mechanical, if I want hotter vape, I build the atty to go hotter with fewer turns of the coil... if I want it cooler... add a coil and it's done. If it fails to fire (hasn't happened yet, but I am certain it will happen some day)... just take it apart and clean it.

These are not for everybody, to be sure... but in PVs, I feel many of the electronics are there to work around other areas that are out of your control... With hybrids, many of these issues are in your control... thus obviating the need for electronics.

This having been said, I will eventually build a hybrid with variable voltage or wattage regulation... because I've never tried one, and the possibility remains that it could be an improvement that I have yet to experience.

I'm looking forward to trying a Kick in my Mini Hybrid when the day cometh, otherwise I quite agree about the battery sag.

I have one sitting here with extra room for the Kick so I can roll one into mine as soon as they are available... I doubt it needs it, but it sure can't hurt!

Damn, that's just such a beatuiful mod, especially the tank on it. I can totally understand the advantage of a simple all mechanical device. You do have quite a bit more control over vaping power with a rebuildable atomizer, almost makes up for VV/VP. But, what differences would you see between coils of different resistances that you may not see with variable power or varible voltage. I don't know, but could be a consideration.
