Love the pet pictures!
My journey with dogs.
I first got Butchie when i was 14 and he lived for 16 year
Then got another dog named Butchie and he lived 15 years
Then got another soon after and last month was his time 11 years and the biggest of the Butchies or Butch or Butchie Boy as they were all called at times.
They were all adopted.
My avatar is Luigi adopted from Paws were my wife used to help out and brought home nearly 4 years back when he was 8 weeks old not 4 years old .
In this picture also is Romeo a full bred Yorkie.
So now we have Luigi -my Avatar
Romeo - my pain in the .... Yorkie .
Butch the 3rd one is gone now and it was hard on the family and we decided his name will live on in our memories and have no more named Butchie.
We have 3 urns now and 1 day will have 2 more i suppose .
As for getting any more as much as we would like to these 2 we have at 4 years old are enough to keep us happy as we age.
Here is a picture,
Romeo -top left
Butch- top right
Luigi - by himself on bottom .

Rotties are another breed with an undeserved reputation.

I didn't even know Rotties had a reputation until recently. Every one I've ever met has been a big teddie bear. If I could handle the slobber, I'd have one. They don't just wag their tail, they wag their whole body.

They are one of the smartest dog too! My girl Shadow (lost her to the big C word in Jan 2009) She would know who was in the driveway, friend or fow, she had different barks for both. And if I or the wife came home those barks where different too. I do so much miss her. :( here is a pic of her.shadow.jpg

I'm so sorry to hear about your baby Shadow! It hurts to lose your fur baby! Wonderful pic of her!! We lost our Beagle, George, in 2003. He was 14. We had to put him down to end his suffering--he was in so much pain from arthritis, meds didn't help him anymore. We still miss him a lot, but we have many treasured memories of him.

Wonderful pics! I wish I had more pics of our Beagle, George.
We have his place of honor where his urn is, too.

I love animals! :) I currently have 2 dogs and a cat. Bettina is a 1/2 Border Collie 1/4 Husky 1/4 Aussie Shepherd Mix, and Little Zeek is a mini-Aussie, and of course there is Binx the cat, all black. They are all three rescues from three difference places and there is only about 2 weeks difference in their ages. So they will all grow up and old together.

I also have all the countless critters I have worked with, they all have a special place in my heart.

We have a dog and a cat. Our dog Agnes is a terrier mix, she also goes by Aggie for short, baby girl when she's sweet, .... face when's she's rotten and the terrierdactyl when she's being crazy. Our cat Skwisgaar pretty much thinks his name is kitty because his real name is such a mouthful. BTW my husband is soooooo not allowed to name anything living ever again. Aggie was a rescue, and Skwisgaar picked us. He strolled up to Aggie, our recently deceased dog Coty and myself in the backyard when he was a kitten, wanting to play with the dogs, so I let them have their fun for a few and when I took the dogs inside I turned around and the cat was sitting in the middle of the kitchen just looking at me! He just decided this was his house and he's been here ever since!

We have three kitties-

Diablo - Grey, some kind of Russian blue mix. His original family had to get rid of him when he was about 2 months old. He terrorized their older cat. He's a little over a year old now and is still a bit of a terror. His favorite passtime is climbing doorframes.

Loki - kind of a stripey grey, boyfriend thinks he's a Burmese mix. He was part of a pack of about 100 cats that were dumped in a local park. Total sweetie, sleeps under the blankets with us. I think he's 6 or 7 now.

Reesie - Tortoiseshell (little ball of wire-chewing cuteness). She was the kitty we adopted "by accident". She was found in a box by the side of the road. Our boss found her, but their other two cats didn't like her much. I picked her up when we were picking up paychecks... she licked my nose... and that was the end of that. She came home with us that day. She's about... 4 months old I think. Maybe 5.
