I travelled quite a bit in the US for work and I was always astounded when people said I had a strong accent (aussie) and wherever I was if I heard another aussie speak I recognised it at a very basic level. Accents are really obvious when you don't have one (like me) :pervy:
I, like you have no accent, however the rest of you talk funny as hell. :p

I know it hilarious hahahaha

It's even funnier when you say a normal sentence and the other person has no clue what you are talking about and you have no other words to explain so you just repeat it louder and louder until they nod in agreement. LOL

Americans don't have accents. The rest of the world does.

Sure they do. New York, Midwest, Yankee, California, southern, tidewater, cajun, Minnesota-nice... accents all over the place! :)

That's why I love communicating in writing... no accents! Back when I ran a DOS-based BBS (before the internet) there was a guy from your part of the world going to school near here, and he was a regular on my BBS; he once actually called me on the phone *from* Melbourne... and I couldn't understand a single thing he said.

And when the original 'MadMax' and "Road Warrior" movies came out, I couldn't understand them either; it was only when they had been redubbed for an American audience (after Mel had been here long enough to lose 98% of his accent) that I could finally understand the dialogue in those movies.

Absolutely LOVE the aussie accent..my fave has to be the New Englanders from New Hampsha though..Those folks have a bit of trouble saying their "R's" LOL
It's adorable though..I'm partial to that one as my last GF was from New Hampshire. Sweet as pie she was.
Use tuh live in Nuh Hamp-shee-uh. Buh jeesum they talk funny ofuh they uh. Nice nuff folk, but hahd tuh unduhstand. (edit- that's about how they sounded to me, born in the mid-west, and grew up in the mid-Atlantic states. Maine has about ten distinct accents, not all mutually intelligible.)

As a heart attack...It wasn't funny at all as far as she was concerned. She had a tender heart bless her..and thought I was making fun of her..She grew out of it though. Learned my sense of humor is way beyond weird ... lol

Glad you liked it. I'll just tootle puff for a minute to keep Bike from gettin wicked rowdy, and then, if you wish, I'll do an imitation of an electric percolater from Asunción, Paraguay. I do love the vape from this GS Air M, at 8.4 watts, throttle open.
Did you ever notice how some Nuh Ham Shee Uh people talk out of the side of their mouth? Well, when you cross the river to Vermont, they talk out of touthuh side.
