Kattykins xxxxxxx Oh hang on .... :pop: Welcome.

Nah, how about thank you for building our tootle sanctuary.

Totally agree with that -- even though I venture in to visit the wompers from time to time, tootle puffin is still my home. Not many others around here can appreciate a vape at 8 or 8.5w. :D  I took a gander at what SteamEngine had to say about my cartotank vape... even with a 3 ohm carto, 8w is 4.9v!

I is SAD :(
Coming up on "2 Years", September 18th, of NO CIGS (this time around), but I don't know what to buy myself, as I am happy with what I have, and have plenty of what I need. Don't need the newest and greatest gadget, what I have works fine (and I have lots of backups), I don't need any juice, I've got enough to last for years, I have tons of batteries, I'm just at a loss here. What do I reward myself with, if I have everything I Want or Need. :)

These are what I got to celebrate 2 years tobacco-free:

Gus_Kiss_bOd.jpg

I used to celebrate milestones with something expensive that I didn't have.
30 days: Glass drip tip (At the time I couldn't imagine paying $20 for a drip tip.)
6 months: ProVari (Thank you Baditude)
1 year: Phidias
18 months: (Not exactly 18 months, but I counted it as such) Reo. I discovered from the Phidias that I like bottom-feeders and I wanted a more durable one.
2 years: See above
Then I ran out of things I wanted to try. The only thing I don't have is a high watts device, but I've learned that a 15 watts maximum mod is just fine for me.

FYI: In my journey I have discovered that a DiverV2 (or Sophia, I have both) in an IBTanked is fabulous in a Calabash mod. ;) It's the orange one.

Yes, but this was her plan to make a direct dripping atty. I suppose it might work, but awfully labor intensive compared to the 510 and 306 attys I use that are 3 years old.
I actually made a dripping atty from an 808 carto. Pulled out all the polyfill and poked just a bit of cotton down in the bottom. Worked ok for tasting juice, which is what I made it for. Change flavors? Just pull out the old cotton with tweezers, flush with water and put in new cotton.

I was never welcomed, I forced my way in and refused to leave.
Neither was I. But maybe this happened because I have been lurking around the Tootlers, reading, instead of opening the door to the OctoVapers Chamber? Or did I? I don't really remember.

Octo is 8 in Latin and sounds kind of cool, and I never vape above 8 watt if I can help it

I'm 3 years now, so thank you twice. :)

I got rid of my quit banner and stopped posting my quit date when I realized I was using anything remotely resembling a milestone as a excuse to buy something expensive. Yes, after 40 years of smoking I deserve it, but things were getting out of hand.

Actually, in celebration of 3 years tobacco-free I gave one of my ProVarii away.

Reread her post. If she doesn't want to blow out/rinse and wait for a 510 atty to dry, I'm not sure she would find your method any more appealing. Perhaps she is thinking of modding the 808s into drippers, then throwing them away after use. I don't know.

Moving right along...

I don't celebrate the months, just the full years. I spent a lot of money the first year looking for something I liked that worked good, and got a few because they looked cool (but vaped bad). Settled on carto's in IBTanked tanks for 9 months or so (still have a couple of Bricks of Carto's collecting dust), then I discovered the Joy of a Sophia, which I now have 7 of them, also have 4 Diver V2's, which work well, just can't shut off the juice flow like the Sophia. For battery I got stuck on the Hybris which takes 14500 batteries and is VV (like a mini Lambo), I have 8 of them, got to have spares right. Most likely won't get anything for my 2 year, can't see spending money on something I won't use and will just collect dust like all the other toys on my vaping shelf's.

That Calabash mod does not look like it would be easy to hold.

Congrats on 3 years

The Calabash is surprisingly easy to hold. It's smaller than it appears in the picture and, being made in China, is lightweight plastic. With the DiverV2 it's actually a nice vape, but if I dropped it, it would be toast. Bobo, on the other hand, I expected to be plastic, but turned out to be solid aluminum. It makes a ProVari feel light.

Ocelot, congratulations on your glorius 3 years! For me, next week it will be two years and this is - not what I have but what I mostly vape with:

basic.jpg

The little red Joyetech ecab in the pic is my first vaping instrument, ordered on the 2nd of September 2013. I use this one and its numerous black, pink and silver brothers and sisters ;-) on a daily basis, when out and about.

The pink one is also Joyetech's ecab, but with a modded ecab-to-510-adapter in the middle, with an e-smart clearo on it - small but oho! So I "collect" his three-part configuration too.

And last but not least, my lovely Sophia atomizer is one the left side, sitting on an eCom battery by means of an adapter ring ... I don't think I'll ever need a better atomizer!

On the right side, it is a Microstick, tiny tootle puffer's darling (for dark post-TPD-days).

This is not an exhaustive list  - my first year was quite an expensive one, but this, plus a Provape-1, is what I use use on an everyday basis.
