Our proud roots:

My first root was an eGo-T for 3.5 years. It didn't get me off ciggies, but I kept trying and reading the forum kept my hopes up. And eGo V3 got me off ciggies but, being an electronician, I knew I would end up rebuilding. It just happened much faster than I expected and it was all about "more vapor". Yet I'm still in the tootle puffing business well under 20 watts and over 1.2 ohms.

Speaking of which, I thinks there's more to it than that narrow window. If you vape 30 watts on a 5 ohm coil, I doubt you're well above tootle puffing status. We need a graph curve.

I still have one or two Aspire coil that's been sitting in the same tank for about a year now. It might be of interest that I doubt that (or those) tank(s) have seen the end of their second bottle of juice. One is coming up REAL soon on the start of 3rd bottle, though and still vaping strong. I also have made a couple of coils that lasted about 3 months. When I finally changed them I was regretting not doing it earlier, though. I'm sure they had seen more than 2 bottles of juice and a few wicks along the way. What a ride!

BUT... (because a post with too much agreement gets boring sometimes) my one and only Kanger tank/coil are about to finish their second bottle and still going strong. I know because I bought those only to vape the 2 bottles I brought back from Italy. And I vape those at 4.2 volts on top of it. I don't care what they say about changing a coil every bottle it goes through, I have had ONE coil die on me. The others just had strong remnants from the previous juice and/or were plain gunked up. My Nautilus (not the mini) seems expert at clogging BVC coils even before I can vape it. It'll receive my last BDC and see if that works, else I'm done with it.

It's TOOTle puff... TODDle puffing sounds illegal.

Darn, got beat to it. I was busy, ya know...

I have a fillerless carto in my billet box that I've been vaping for 7 or 8 mo. Usually cartos last me 4 to 8 days but this one just won't quit.

I don't know why, but I never had a single atty that wouldn't last way more than one bottle of juice except that full-sized Nautilus. Problems started arising when I put that dark juice in it, which worked fine in my Nautilus mini and another Aspire tank. Okay, I did have ONE dod out of about 20something. Washing them has not been a lucky lottery for me, though.

I think tootle puffin has more to do with your vaping method than gear. A quicker, lighter draw versus a long deep lung hit. After all Croak, in his first post, was saying he wasn't "tootle puffin" on his SubTank at 25w, he was lung hitting on it, implying that you can tootle puff on a sub ohm rig. So ohms and watts don't factor in, neither do RDAs RTAs or any gear.:2c::vapor:

I've never seen a single post of yours that was without value, darling Kat... You and cool folks like you are some of the reasons I keep hanging around! :thumb:

Andria

Kat and Andria....... Two of the first people I remember from my first days here..... Back in the itaste vv v3 thread. Good peeps that make ya wanna hang around and tootle :D
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

I knew there was something I liked about you. You're a very smart lady with a bit of fair play for all in there.
I agree with what Andria said.

That's cool, just don't hate those that do like what you don't like, and, well, it's all good.

And if you just gotta hate, try not to project it and harsh our mellow. :)

I didn't coin the term out of a bad place, would be sad to see those who embrace the term take it there.

I promise you, Croak, we will not. You're our Hero, like it or not! ;)

What if you only step out every now and then? Do you lose your membership???

Wow...
Why so much hate on those who rebuild? I vape all my Kayfun's below 15W and with a 1.3+Ω coil which I make myself since there are no disposable coils for the Kayfun's. I thought how I vaped these devices would qualify for membership in this most excellent group?

I do have a CCI Militia and a Project Sub-Ohm Mutation X V3 that are built to 0.3Ω and run at 70W for blowing a few clouds with 0mg 100% VG for the sheer novelty factor and that's all... In all honesty those would never even remotely be my ADV.

I started with one of these *Unique* devices to put it mildly. I paid way, way too much for it from a B&M and all it did was leak onto the battery and gurgle. I suffered with it for quite a while seriously thinking if this is what vaping is all about then I'll go back to smoking. So back to the B&M with it, "It's your coil" or "it's your seal", "Put a new coil in it"... Seriously? I just changed the coil the day before... All you guys are doing is selling coil packs for these after gouging me for it in the first place.

So they said that I have the first version I should get the second version with the removable steel DT and the newer "better" coils... Ha Ha that was quite the joke on me, same problem just not quite as often.

Well I watched a few videos online and what I really needed was an Aerotank or even better the cheaper Genitank version, or so say the shill reviewers on YouTube, so I got one. It worked great for a while till it decided to empty out on the way to work one day. Marvelous, a BDC Kanger eVod with more juice in it to leak out and it also had that world famous Kanger snotty gurgle.

Then came the Aspire Nautilus Mini... Now we are talking, a nice glass tank with a better AFC and totally different, but more expensive coils than the Kanger. It was my first semi decent vape experience, held lots of juice and had a good flavor. Till you encountered your first package of bad coils except for one and the annoying problem of the mini not wanting to come apart to be refilled. I struggled with that base more times than not trying to get it apart. I tried the hot water, rubber band method and the highly recommended don't tighten it to tight etc. But you are getting ready to go out the door, I better fill that tank and guess what, it will not come apart again...

Annoyed one day with the mini, I stopped into another B&M that newly opened and saw my first Kayfun. A satin finished stainless steel Heatvape 3.1 ES, so I took it home with a bit of wick and wire. Watched a few building videos online and gave it a try. Well I don't need to tell you all the Aspire/Kanger products were promptly emptied, cleaned and put away in their boxes. A complete night and day difference compared to what I was used to vaping.

Two more Kayfuns later plus a few other atty's and I understand why rebuildables are so much better. Better for me personally, since I can control how I want my vape experience to be without having to take a gamble on a package of coils.

If I didn't seek out an alternative to the Aspire/Kanger products I probably would have gone back to smoking. I am sorry if some are put off by the discussion of using an RTA but it was one of those which actually got me off the analogs.

If you vape the Aspire/Kanger BDC/BVC products and they work for you then that is excellent! In the end it is really all about not smoking.

I do have a problem with the people who have to fog up a room from a 0.06Ω build claiming they need to vape this way in order to stay off cigarettes. We have a local vape shop that allows the staff to blow clouds in the store and you can't see from one side to the other. I rarely shop there for just that reason.

My rant is done, thanks for reading.

There's still a way to make a curve out of it, but we'll need a software for this!

Perfect! put the tootle cloud back (although it will need to account for movement) and the little bubble and we got a working team logo for the LED t-shirts :D Oh, WAIT! Croak should be on the side of the pond...

Yeah I still have all my bookmarks for the cheapest Kanger coils, and of course the best possible price on punched cartos... but I just object on principle to paying money for things I don't have to -- one of the reasons I became a good cook, too; I still like to eat in a restaurant now and then, but the price/quality of restaurant food, compared to the price/quality of my own? No contest! And I've found that to be true with coils too; the replacements lasted me a week at most... but I've made coils that lasted 3+ months!

Andria

I have little T4 808-d1 clearos that have lasted me 3 months, so far. My tootle kit of T4's full of various flavors. and my 808 egos.

Thanks for that Troll, didn't read all of it , but thanks :) I just re-coiled an old evod tank like that and just realized it was my first device. I got it at a B&M that mixed their juice to order in the back room or behind the blanket curtain anyway. Mine worked good then and now too. I still have the original 650 mAh battery and it still works. I can't say that for a couple of recent mods I've bought. :)

My first ecig was a cigalike. I told everyone I knew I was getting it. That was about 5 yrs. ago. It showed up and I took a puff and said, "You gotta be kidding me". Not the exact words but I'm keeping it clean. But I told everyone so I gave it a go, found ECF, and a week later realized I hadn't smoked a stinkie the whole time. I came a long way since.

That's why I ever started.... Got tired of buying kanger coils for my pro tank 2, then the aerotanks. What I learned was I had a knack for it, flavors came alive.... It's been all down hill from there. Now I do Clapton's, stovetops, twisted wires etc... I'm hobby status, plain and simple...... On a side note, doing a coil like this....

.......... Is very pleasing to the OCD :p

that is not a tootle coil.

Isn't animating progressive work? :D

All right, here's an idea: she could just stop in the middle, blow a tootle cloud (original animation) and a happy fart bubble, then resume swimming and disappear to the side. Then croak hops or floats by on a twig.
