I throw mine in a bottle of hot tap water after shaking. (the bottle not the tap water) And leave it in there till it all cools down then remove it from the water shake again and vape. that is pretty much the extent of my steeping. Some of mine get steeped a while if I happen to not vape them for a few weeks. I have some blueberries n cream that has been steeping in a T3 for a few weeks...

Are they better steeped in the tank?

You don't have to steep fruit eliquid.

Actually I have only had one bottle that needed to age, it wasn't much better after the recommended "steeping".

My Smocha has a significant tobacco flavor in it... and I actually like it better when it's first made; after steeping, it tastes more like... TOBACCO! ACK!!!! :D

When it's first made, the tobacco notes are very subtle, it's more the coffee and the cream and a little bit of chocolate, and a hint of smokiness.... after steeping, I'm thinking it's not too far off the taste of a Marlboro that's been dropped in a cup of coffee then dried out and smoked. gag!

How does it change with age?
More mellow/smoother is the best way to describe it. The first banana I mixed up I vaped a bit and was not wild about it. Tried it again about 4 weeks later and it was much better. Mixed some strawberry in there and had good strawnanner.

Kinda like eating one nanner straight from the store and eating the next one 2 days later.

Steeping doesn't improve a bad mix of flavoring, no matter how long you try. Came across some flavors I had bought pre-mixed, and after 3 or 4 years of steeping they still tasted like drain cleaner, and used them as such.

Some of my DIY has steeped as long as a month, only because it took me that long to finish the bottle.

The first time I mixed up 60ml of my strawberry & cream, I thought it might be a month's worth. hah. It lasted just a smidge over 2 wks; the only change in that time was that it got stronger and sweeter; now I can vape 60ml of it in about 10 days, or less. :D But it does inform me that once I'm done with the WTA and don't have to change the recipe every month with the WTA stepdown, I should make it less sweet than I like it, for larger quantities.

RE: Steeping
Have you thought about changing the wattage to find the flavor spot? When I got that bottle of Butterbeer (for those who did not read the review, a combination of banana, butterscotch, root beer, sassafras, and vanilla), I tried it fresh out of the box using my standard for strawberry-tobacco (7W) and all I could taste was the banana, but when I turned the iStick up to 13W, all the flavors blossomed on my tongue. I am sure you more experienced vapers already know this, but perhaps the newer folks do not.

Complex juices change through aging. Different flavors become more pronounced and others mellow out.:2c:
