Hi guys - I would like to check out something with you since this is the first time I'm travelling by air since I started vaping. I'm packing all my tanks and liquids in my check-in luggage. All regulated mods and extra loose batteries I will be carrying in my hand luggage. I'm taking my very first introduction to vaping - the GreenSmokes - with me so I can vape at the airport (smoking area in the open air restaurant) while waiting since I do not intend to carry any liquid inside the tanks. Does that sound ok? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

When you say, "loose batteries" - they're safely in battery cases, yes? If not, please...

And if you have no cases, wrap the contacts in electrical tape, and place them into plastic baggies. Secure them too, so they sit stably with no possibility of coming into contact with any metals.

Yes I have the 4 x 18650 cases (actually I have plenty of them but will only be taking one. I intend to take 2 18500s because my pisces is kicked but I am also taking 2 18650s in case the kick kicks the bucket :D. Also please note I have edited my first post to add a couple of things... so maybe you could read it again? :) Thanks.

@Papillon61 , I'm not sure what the rules are as they vary from country to country but I can tell you that batteries are banned worldwide in checked luggage, so all batteries must be placed in your hand luggage.

Yes that is what I am doing. I even put the electronic thermometer in my hand luggage since I intend to make cheese. :D

Make me work... ;-)

I'm actually far from an expert, but I saw the "loose batteries" part and got a bit concerned. I'm sure others will have better advice than I can give, as Rixsta's already proven.

Thanks. What about presentation at security check.... would they be terribly concerned if I just leave the battery pouch in my camera bag. I really would hate to have to explain what they are and what they're for to security staff who might never have seen anything like them. They are iSticks BTW and regular 18000s.

The last few times I've flown, I've left my istick and esmart in my bag and nothing has ever been said. I don't know about tablets (not taken it) but my phone stays in my bag as well - the thing they definitely want in the trays are laptops.

Have a good trip and a happy holiday :)

Ok - I'll try keeping everything in my bag this time and see what happens. Maybe people are asked to put their phones in the tray if they are carrying them on their person so they don't ring when passing through the scanner arch. And thanks for the good wishes. I leave tomorrow and can't wait! :)

Woah! I nearly wrote in my post that they look like they could have been done by Richard!!! How funny. I know his work quite well, as I have several of his tanks! Gorgeous stuff that man turns. And yes, the shipping to US is a bit high, but his stuff is dynOmite.

Here are some of his "Unique" Tanks.

Oh, one other thing I wanted to ask. Should I place the batteries in the tray together with my phone and tablet at security check or can I leave them in my bag? I intend to carry the pouch inside my camera bag.

You know those little zip lock bags that vendors ship little stuff in? They work perfect for loose batteries when going through security. I also put a rubber band around them so that the batteries fit nice & tight. I then just leave all my vape gear in my carry on bag (including the batteries).

A range of drip tips, made from polyester or acrylic and food grade aluminum. They are all turned by hand so each one is unique and you will have the only one. The drip tips are finished down to 12000 grit and look wonderful but more importantly, they feel lovely. The bore is only 2.5 mm. I feel this makes the juice taste better. So "drip tip" is not quite right name, as the bore is a bit small for dripping through. The base of the connection has been recessed so that tanks with high center posts will not short out on the drip tip base.

They're gorgeous, but I bet they're $20-$40 each, right? Too rich for my blood. If I'm gonna spend $40 for something, it's probably gonna be a mod... in fact it definitely will be, I haven't spent that much for a tank yet, and probably never will. Driptips should be in the <$10 neighborhood.

I don't know about elsewhere, but here in the States, the only regs that apply to vaping are--your eliquid must be in the 1 quart plastic bag that all of your liquids are in, and no container can hold more than 90ml. That, and all electronics have to go in a separate tray--but not the one that your laptop/tablet is in. Those must each have their own tray.

They are 14 dollars but the shipping bumps it up to 28 dollars, I completely understand
