Total Vaper from day one!
This Christmas will be five years!

Exactly! So what!Honestly, i didn't mean to " undermine the unofficial poll of ECF members ". My response to " most vapers are dual users " has always been ; Even if true, so what !
i edited my previouspost to state what i think is the reason for the skewed report findingsExactly! So what!![]()
BUT if there is an off chance that, google powers be what they are, this little ole thread is found in search engines.......
Who knows... As we can see, there are dual users that frequent ECF. Some of them are beloved members and I know of many that are dual users. I hope that common sense tells us that ANY reduction is a good thing.
They probably number far less than the total vapers that are members of ECF. It can possibly give a pretty good reading of the actual overall percentages.

Some perspective for you, I started with cigalikes way back, with the full intent of quiting smoking. I upgraded my gear a bit, better battery, but still using cartomizers. I quit for around two years, then I got a VERY stressful job, got laid off and broke my back in a year, I went back to cigs.i edited my previouspost to state what i think is the reason for the skewed report findings![]()
I am sorry you went through what you did, and hope there has been some improvement with your job situation, and especially your back. One pack a day compared to 3-5 is definitely harm reduction. Dual-use numbers while exaggerated imo, are still an indication of success. Reducing cigarette use, with or without the help of vaping, is also good thing. Some perspective for you, I started with cigalikes way back, with the full intent of quiting smoking. I've tried and tried everything within my financial means, to get off the cigs and back to vaping. But with my chronic pain I'm missing something that I get from a cig that I don't get from vaping. (YES, I have tried this that and the other thing, thanks for asking!)
I'm down to around a pack a day, or less, from 3-5 PAD. It's not great, but it's a huge improvement and I'll take any victories I can get at this stage!
However, worth mentioning he was a 2 pack a day down to less then 4 smokes a day for the last year of his vaping. He sometimes gets upset he can't quit like I did and I keep telling him it's not how many your still smoking, it's how many you are not. Nothing wrong with dual use in my opinion if it's lowering your usage of smokes.
Sigh ....
Dual user.
Dual user.
Outing myself as bi-smokual.
Time to come clean!
Dual User!
Took me 2 weeks to become a total vaper and that lasted exactly 3 months.
I was never able to quit 'for my health' I finally snapped over the cost. Eventually picked up a pack of cheap cigars ( like 2-4 cigar for 99¢).
Then started breaking the cigars open and hand rolling cigs out if them. Eventually came across a 1lb pouch of 'pipe tobacco' for $10.99. That lasted about 9 months. Going on 3 months on my current 6oz pouch. About half gone.
I'm not stressing about it, somedays I don't have any other days I might twist up 1 or 2 or 5. I never roll up piles of them, just whenever this mood strikes.
I may become a total vaper again may not. I'm smoking so little and it's costing so little that..... I dunno?
Been back and forth.
Total vaper for about 2.5 weeks starting in August after about 1 year of dual using. Then bummed one from a co-worker, spent the next few weeks dual using again, then another straight week as a total vaper, then back to dual use again...
I think there are far more of us than many realize. But at this point, today, i'd say i am a Dual User but working on becoming a Total Vaper.
Not something I advertise unless I see another member struggling with shame over it![]()
