Thanks, SirVette (love the name). I go with the 16mg and maybe a 24mg.

Manual or Auto? I have the manual one in my cart.

Get manual. With manual, you push a button when you're ready to vape and let go just before you're at the end of a drag. With auto, you start dragging and that causes it to start the atomizer; you have to take one or two fake drags to get it warmed up for a real drag. Also, loud music or othe noises can make them start, and that wastes batteries. Also auto batteries don't have anything to prevent juice from draining down into the battery. Autos are more natural, but manuals are more reliable.

I don't think I've saved money yet; there's an upfront investment, and I haven't been keeping track of money.

It's a transitional move from cigarettes to Ecigs. At first, some of juices might taste a little blah, but as your taste buds recover from tobacco, they will blossom. I found that tobacco flavored juices were fine, but things like chocolate, vanilla, and even some tobacco liquids weren't what I expected.

Gradually over a two week period, your sense of smell and taste will return and the juices will taste great. I found that my old Dorals were pretty tasteless after vaping for a while. I still allow myself several analogs a day because I decided that this time I wasn't going to quit cold turkey. I reserved the right to allow Ecigs to slowly move me away from them. I smoked 10 (instead of 40) the first week and after that I found myself not thinking about them except after meals and maybe one with coffee in the morning and one before bed at night.

Ecigs are amazingly efficient in allowing you to make a painless move from analogs to juice. It's uncanny how after so many years of dreading the withdrawal it turns out to be so easy.

Most of us start with various tobacco flavors and move into other flavors over weeks. I like to add a couple of drops of chocolate or vanilla to my tobacco flavors as I refill a cart.

www.awesomevapor.com has a summer sale going on. 16ml bottles are $8 and you get your choice of any flavor 3ml bottle for free with each 16ml bottle. Use the code ECF10P when you place your order with Arno and you will get an additional 10% off. I like the 3ml free bottle because it allows me to try another flavor for free X the number of bottles I buy.

I'm a pack a day smoker that's also brand new to vaping. It's been two days now since my PV came in the mail. The first day I smoked 4.5 cigarettes. Yesterday I smoked 7 cigarettes.

Three of the cigarettes I smoked yesterday were because both of my batteries were dead at the same time. The others were because I'm still trying to find the right strength for me. I got 6mg cartridges and they were way too low. I also bought some 18mg juice, but that was too high. I found myself yo-yoing between too much nic or not enough, so to completely kill the craving, I had a few analogs.

As to the PV to choose, I'd suggest reconsidering the 501 if you haven't already bought it. From everything I hear, they are great units, but the battery life isn't so hot. I originally bought the Green Smoke PV, but after seeing what the battery life is like on it, I decided to go with the Totally Wicked Tornado. (aka Joyetech eGo). I bought two mega batteries and two mega atomizers instead of the starter kit. It's a bit more expensive, but well worth it imo for the peace of mind in knowing that I have at least 10 hours of battery and can be recharged in 90 minutes, as opposed to 4-5 hours with my Green Smoke.

Good luck, Suze.

    Somewhere between here and there
I forgot to mention that nhaler has a 10 percent coupon that is good all of the time. It is "saveinnj". He has the 10mg high octane line, 12mg high voltage, and the regular 24mg. I buy the 24mg 555 three bottles at a time for 43. It is one of my two every day vapes.

Sirvette, I've got some HALO juice, it's just not one of my favorites.

Hittman, thanks for the recommendation. I read some at their forum and then their site. I just ordered 12 of their sample sizes in various types. One of the samples is the 555 in 24 mg that you mentioned. I'm always up for trying another juice, so I'm looking forward to these. Thanks again! Oh, and I found the coupon before I ordered, so I got the 10% off. :D

audio - I just moved to E. KY. It's gorgeous here in the mountains and one of my daughters lives here. Have you attended a conference?

I would love Kentucky! My most favorite job prospects were in Charleston WV and Anniston AL. Alas, the one in Iowa came up first and I had little choice but to accept it. I'm moving from Nebraska to Iowa; big whoop.

I've only been doing this for a few weeks, so I haven't been to any conferences yet. Also, it'll be a couple of months before I can afford it.

I started vaping at the beginning of May, with absolutely no intention of actually quitting analogs. I have been a 3 pack a day smoker since I was 9 years old (for real) and am now 43. And really more than 3 packs a day usually, but I always think I smoke 3 packs (guess I round it down)...

Immediately, I went from my 60+ a day habit to slightly less than a pack a day, without actually putting any effort into it. From there, somehow over time I then slid down to 2-3 cigs a day. Again, I never told myself I was going to quit - it just started to happen that I was enjoying vaping more than smoking analogs. This Monday (June 28th) I had my last analog at 3pm, and have not had one since. I am utterly amazed at how painless this transition has been. I had quit analogs once before and I was agonized for the first 3 days, this week has been a breeze. I have had a few stray cravings, but nothing that has been at all overpowering.

I will tell you that I wasn't able to completely cut out analogs prior to going from 36mg to 48mg....I am currently on 48mg tobacco flavors and plan to cut down over time on the nicotine, but hey, I was about as addicted as one could possibly get to analogs, and I figure that I'm going to give myself a break on how much nicotine I vape.

I went from an M401, quickly to a 510, and fairly quickly upgraded to an Ego. The combo of high high nicotine juice and the Ego are really what have worked for me.

In all honesty, if vaping works for me, I've got to believe it will work for the vast majority of people that try it.

Welcome to the forums (I have really been helped time and time again by all of the great information posted here) and just take a step at a time, this is really a fantastic source for virtually anything you need to know about the wonderful world of vaping!
