It is an amazing wire so far. I bought mine from ebay for $6.99 shipped. Need to find a longer length of it.

I want to try the ni80 someday.

Maybe I will make my own??? I bought some Ball Bearing Swivels over a year ago to help make claptons.

Been using a superfine ni80 coil for a week now, I actually may prefer it over the SS316l.

This wire, has changed my perspective on vaping. Seriously, it’s that good!

I have been trying to buy that wire but I can't find any source. Even Vandy Vape's own Ali Express site is out of it. I bought the ss version knowing that it would result in a lower resistance for coils. It is very good but I am anxious to try some of the Ni80 version. I don't really understand why they introduce this wire and it has been unavailable constantly from the usual sources.

I was going to make my own since I've 3D printed a tool to make clapton wires, however I change my wire so rarely that it wasn't worth the hassle of ordering wire and making it.

For those people like me who could not find the Vandy Vape ni80 superfine clapton wire in stock anywhere it is now available. Vandy Vape has their own site on Ali Express. The ni80 just became available today and I ordered. It is really pricey but the ss version I have is so good I had to give it a spin.

Nichrome but is a Nickel alloy (ss also contains nickel). Some mods claim to be able to use tc with Ni80 but I have never tried that. I plan to give it a go in power mode but my Smoant mods claim to be able to do tc with NI80 so maybe I will try that at some point. I hear that DNA mods do not claim to work in tc with Nichrome. I have some dna mods but I won't go against Evolv's advice not to try that in tc on their mods.

I should point out that I have had limited success trying the 316L Superfine clapton in tc but I have only tried it on 2 of my mods. It vapes so well in basic wattage mode I don't really worry about the tc thing with this wire. I did get it working in tc on a Smoant Cylon for a few hours though.

I wonder if I could fit a 1Ω coil in my KayFun, since that has a small deck ??

I expect you can since it is 3.5 ohms per foot but obviosuly I have not tried it yet. This wire from Vandy Vape is something new in the sense that it was designed for mtl single coil users. I can tell you their 316L clapton version is pretty special. I just can't endorse it yet for tc fans. It may work in tc on some mods and not others. In truth, clapton wire and other complex wires often don't play well with tc.

I ordered some, based on some of the things stated on this thread, I will be interested in trying it. Ooh... my first non round plain SS wire. This has the makings of awesomeness, or a complete disaster. I guess I'll be finding out ... soon.

I've been rocking the ni80 superfine in the Doggystyle for 2 weeks now, same coil, same wick (it still looks BRAND new), @20w, and I have been in heaven.

2mm ID, 6 wrap, contact, .65 ohm in the doggy.

Is the coil that came with the Berserker 24mm the same material you are all talking about? Still have mine here and would give it a shot if it's the same stuff....

I don't own a berserker, but I believe I remember reading that the supplied coils are the superfine ni80 wire. I also remember people stating that they added an extra wrap to those supplied coils.

I have a berserker RDA on the way from FT, ill see if they came with them as well.

Yep. Same stuff...found the answer.

Anyway, dug out the coils and....impossible to work with. Even reround in the opposite direction so the screws on my tank could capture better. Nope. I'm sure the work well with the ares due to the design, but with any tank that's like a Kayfun, they are impossible.

Glad I tried these before springing for the wire. Not for me.

Not sure what a Kayfun build deck is like, because ive never used one. Building on the doggystyle is MUCH easier than the Ares.
