My parts are trickling in slowly... So far have gotten the fire switch, the battery contacts, the 20 gauge wire and some epoxy. Oh, and my helpings hands soldering holder. I'm going to use the Veroboard method with my fuses and test everything on breadboard before I solder anything.

EDIT 7/2/14 1446; I have received all parts Except the charger case. Getting excited!

Ok, so I have a question, I was just reading a thread where someone said they bought a 5A fire switch and it wouldn't work for sub ohming. I have bought a 3A fire switch (wasnt paying enough attention to the details, Doh!) so will this work, or am I back to the drawing board looking for a proper switch? And I should mention I'm using the SX350 chip.

You're okay. The SX350 or the DNA30 don't pass the current through the switch. Maybe 50-100mA at the most.

Hi I'm trying to build an arlo as my first mod as well. I've got everything ready and have started soldering everything up. I just noticed after I got my contacts in place that my flat top batteries hit the plastic channels for the positive contact and don't make connection. Button tops work fine but just want to see if this is normal. I apologize if this has been answered as I'm not completely caught up on this thread at the moment. Thank you!

Here's mine btw...

Started by fitting all my buttons and made an acrylic window.

Glued the window in and sanded flush, then cleared over it to make it smooth and seamless.

Painted it a coarse flake silver with candy orange on top.

Re-fitted everything and now I'm trying to get all the guts in which is the hard part IMO.

Thanks! It's really just a bunch of stuff I had left over from old jobs. Silver is diamont from a Nissan Titan with a coarse silver flake from house of kolor mixed in. The candy is rm carizzma and clear is diamont dc92. Sprayed with an airbrush so I had to over reduce the clear to make it work.

Nice work good looking mod :) I ran into the same problem with the positive contacts and the flat tops I used a dremel to shave the plastic down a bit and it was fine :)
