I just noticed I ordered the wrong negative contacts. IGot these. Can I make these work by either soldering my negative wire to the base of the spring or soldering the spring itself to an extra positive contact I have (the correct one)? Worst case scenario any chance I could grab a sufficient replacement for RadioShack. I'm building a single 18650 vamo box, if that makes a difference

The vamo modification doesnt need the same high level contacts as the dna. If you can get the contacts suggested, great! If you cant, use the original power supply contacts. Again, I would only suggest this for the vamo mod.
RadioShack rarely has usable electronic parts now.. but you can try...

OK, so just soldering to my spring at the base is no good then? I guess I could just use the neg contact that came with it like you said. Thanks. Should be finishing JP tomorrow. Then maybe I'll do an okrt10. Haha. I think modding has become a new hobby!

If your soldering skills are up to it, go for it.

I understand your hobby... did a LM2595 mod, redoing another vamo box mod for the wife, and have an okr ready to go into another box . Work and sleep seem to get in the way. Lol

Finally DNA30 in stock, been waiting alongggggg time. If anyone else is in the same boat i ordered at thehouseofvapor.

Mamu, any news for the firing switch originally in you instructions (pdf)?

Anyone know if the Fat Daddy "510 Connectors for Box Mods" will fit in the Arlo case? looks like I missed when he first posted. I used to check everyday, but things got real busy at work. Been waiting for the spring loaded for quite sometime to come out.

Both the old and new fatdaddy 510 connectors will work - but if you use the 22mm flush washer for the new one, it is EXACTLY the width of the enclosure so I don't think it will look very good - I would use the 510 without the washer, but it's only a buck more with the washer, so it won't hurt to bad to see for yourself.

So the washer is removable or he sell's 2 different styles (with washer and without)?

Steamer861, I was not charged shipping (ordered count of two) only $8 and change for tax. I am in the US for the DNAs.

You can see with and without washer in the pictures on the FD website. When you buy, you pick with washer as an option, but it can be added or removed at will - but you have to remove the 510 connector from the mod to remove or add the washer.

I'll purchase with washer then and decide at time of install. Thanks for the details!!!
I don't see a picture without washer on his site thought..

The picture on his "Shop" page has 3 of them. The one in the rear is with the washer. The two in the foreground are without the washer.

Looks VERY nice! Gotta love that 3M carbon fiber vinyl. That stuff is very easy to work with and obtain good results. Congrats! :toast:

It is nice and easy to work with, doesn't work very well with my camera though. It's supposed to be chamelon purple/blue. I see purple when I'm taking the pic but once the flash hits it all it shows is blue.
