I had the oddest thing happen the other early morning. Before I tell the story, let me preface it by saying that I've heard the voice of God in that sweet wonderful voice that I've heard many wonderful times.....well, mostly wonderful. As you can probably guess, I've had quite a few heavenly spankings. But, it was within, not out loud.....until the other morning. The house was quiet, no tv blaring, 4-legged children were asleep, and I audibly heard "pray." It was a loud whisper, but I heard it. It didn't scare me, as I don't think satan or his demons would want me to pray. :ohmy:As I have posted, prayer is the most powerful weapon we Christians have. Nothing exact or no one immediately came to mind, so I prayed for people I knew. I truly hope I didn't leave anyone out. This was a new experience for me. Has anyone had this happen before? Please share if it has happened to you or someone you know and trust. Thanks! :)

Yes. I do know someone. Once upon a time, about 20 years ago, my mother had an angel appear to her in the middle of the night. At the same time, the Lord brought me to her mind, and she was certain something was terribly wrong. So she sent the angel to me. I was going through a tremendously bad time, and the angel I am now certain was by my side kept me from doing the unthinkable during that time I was in such a dark place.

Several years ago I was in a very dangerous situation and in fear for my life. A group of men had me cornered for several hours and i was certain that the outcome was going to be really bad. However, there came a moment that I clearly heard the Lord tell me "GO". I knew it was Him the moment I heard Him and I obeyed and I went. I made my escape just by the skin of my teeth and it took me quite some time to submit to His calling but eventually I did and now I always think of that time when He told me to "GO" and delivered me from the "lion's" mouth.

How terrifying your experience sounds, but how wonderful your deliverance!

I appreciate that you are able to see that I live my life transparent. It's difficult for me to go into too much details about my past on a public forum. I am ashamed of the terrible things I have done in my past but I have no shame in Christ and I shout from the roof tops all the love and grace He has shown to me. He has delivered me in so many ways. He has restored me in so many ways. He is my Father and He loves me in so many ways. He is the one who sets my path and moves my feet. He is my breath and my heart beat. His grace is what motivates and energizes me.

Praise God, Chapel. Amein! Mothers have powerful prayers, as they should, because once our children leave our homes, only God can see where they are. He never left you nor forsaked you. I would be interested if your mom ever gave you a description of this angel. Did she ever tell you?

I had something like that happen to me back in 1985.

There was a distance of seven or eight feet from a gun man. I heard a voice don't know if it was the lord Himself or an angel but I obeyed the voice and did what It said. Four shots were fired at me and as they were being fired my body twisted left and right all I can say the voice was the One who was in control of my body not me then I felt pressure pushing me and heard squat down and run which I did and another shot went flying by my head. I came out with a graze across my heart and one shot in my forearm that went around the bone and came out. I was in and out of the hospital in 30 min. total of five shots fired.

I heard of a 'commander-in-chief' who had an affair with one of his soldier's wives. Well, she got pregnant, and this commander-in-chief, head hauncho, pulled some strings to bring her husband back from the war, so that the affair could be hidden in hopes that the man and wife would do the obvious. Well, the soldier was so dedicated that all he could think about was his men back in battle. He didn't think it was right that he got special treatment. So the commander-in-chief pulled more strings to get this soldier right in the heart of battle where he was killed, and his wife was left without a husband.

This is a terrible story, and a true one at that. Yet, this man was considered a man after God's own heart. That is how God felt. This is the story of King David, Bathseba, and her husband Uriah. 2 Samuel Chapter 11. Why was David considered a man after God's own heart? Because David was a repenter. He truly loved God. We are all sinners saved by Grace. The Old Testament saints were saved on the promise of a Messiah. The New Testament folks up to this moment are saved by God's Grace. It all changed when Jesus rose from the grave. That ushered in Chrisitanity. That was the moment of the Good News of Jesus Christ! When I became a blood bought born again Christian, I cried for 3 days. I felt new, clean, unburdened....a new start. I've never been more grateful for anything in my life. My life has never been the same. Do I still sin? Yep....on a daily basis. I don't mean to, it just happens.

Fishee, none of us are here to judge you. We all have a past, and none of us are proud of our past. Welcome to the board! :)

WOW! Amazing testimonies. To God be the glory! The bullet went around the bone in your forearm? Yes, God saved you and Fishee. Amazing Grace!

He is mighty to save! He saves us in so many ways, even in ways we are never aware of. He truly is the only Sovereign. He is a diligent Father always looking out for His children's best interests. He is a nurturing Father who will always be there to lovingly discipline us. He alone is worthy of our praise.

I just LOVE how the Holy Spirit expresses itself through you!!!!!
