You guys are talking about these, right?

Cute! :)
But what makes these preferable to a 78mm with a CE3 type carto?
Is it just the "cute" factor were rallying for?

No - that's not it (although I do have one of those, and the QC is not good).

Sorry the photo is uneven. On the left is a 350 mAh eGo Mini, then a 65mm Volt (220 mAh), a 78mm Volt (320 mAh), and a 650 mAh Volt X2. My only point is that they are easier to "palm" for stealth situations, more "pocketable", and look much better with the clearos (which I personally prefer).

Look at that cute little thing... it is smaller than the clearo itself. Nice pic of the rainbow too...

If you use it with a carto and cone it's even shorter. I really, really like these little things, but I wish SI would carry them (without a passthrough input). They would sell like crazy I'd bet.

I guess it's a "guy with big hands" thing...I'd rather use a 65 or 78 with a carto or CE3. I can palm either without much of a problem, but then I could palm lit cigarettes without a problem as well, at least until I had to pop any blisters.

I know that this may be a silly question but I wanted to use my comfort tips and when I did, it pushed air into the CE3, you could actually see the bubbles being formed and it wasnt on the bat.

I thought that may be why I was having issues so I quit using them. I am just trying to narrow down possibilities here but do you also see the air bubbles when you put the comfort tip on?

I would buy one... Or three! I prefer clearos myself but don't like to use them on pencil batteries. So I carry a pencil battery and cart when I go out. These would be perfect. And I buy all my X2's in 1300's. I like the larger size. But they are inconvenient to carry in a purse.

Don't keep your finger over the air hole in the comfort tip of drip tip, that way the air can escape. If you did pressurize the CE3 it would leak, but only for a second or so until the pressure equalizes again.

A 350 mah X2 wouldn't stick out of my shirt pocket (and fall out when I bend down to pick something up!), it would be palmable, and I like T2 clearos (and I'm planning on switching to the new SI clearos if they're as good as they look, they seem very similar to T2s). Those are the main reasons I'd pick a 350 X2 over a slim battery.

I've had a few casualties lately too. 'Tis sad - but they've served me well for over a year. Of course, I am alternating like a madwoman - but still! They're like Energizer batteries. They keep going, and going ...

I do have to say this: Considering how old some of my casualties have been, I'm amazed at how well their finish has held up. Love the rubberized finish. It's tough as well as beautiful!

Very true, none of mine look beat up in the least, and the oldest is 18+ months old now. It helps to have so many because none get used constantly so it extends their lifespans. I'm guessing if I stuck to the same 3 all this time that 2 of them would have croaked months ago. It will probably go like it does when light bulbs burn out or smoke alarm batteries need replacing - when one goes, the others start to follow. But it gives me a good excuse to buy new colors now :)
