Ask Imagine is the new Chit Chat thread...

I am sorry for breaking into the old format, but:

Imagine, Does the manual MaXx battery burn hotter? The carto's taste different and I hear crackling when i hit the button.

Yes, It was suggested that I try one, it isn't "bad", Just not as enjoyable as the autos.

Secondary, not necessarily for you question, Anyone aware of some other chemical in analogs that I could be getting the third day jitters from detoxing off from? It obviously isn't nicotine, and the craving isn't as bad or sated at all from vaping.

Been struggling with it all morning and wondering if there was any normalcy to the feeling, or suggestions for a non return to analogs solution.

the manual may be the reason you feel they are running hotter... they heat up the coil a tad faster...and remember the X2 has no cuttoff so the cartos can get dried out a lot faster.

Yes there are about 4000+ chemicals in tobacco cigarettes!!!! 50 of which are known carcinogens. you are detoxing from all of them!!! formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, Ammonia, Acetone, freon, insecticides, butane (from lighters) etc....

That is why you do not get the same woozy feeling while vaping that you get from a tobacco cigarette... the nicotine in the ecig will keep you sane though :)

StarChacer, there seems to be a "Rule of Threes" for many vapers when they first make the switch: 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. Those markers seem to trigger a withdrawal-like syndrome, probably more psychological than physiological (except for Day 3). It should quickly pass; a good idea in the first months of vaping is to always have some higher nic cartos/juice on hand for when those old "jitters" rear their heads.

Go try WTA liquids a try or Snus. I know what you're talking about, we're definitely missing something else aside the nic.

There was a huge thread about cigs having MAOI's and how we might be missing them.

To Imagine: Just ordered 2 kits (needed something more stealthy). Loving it but noticed they were no box. Is this the norm?

If I bought another kit as a gift, having no box would be an inconvenience.

No worries for this order. Just very impressed with the gear and next restock I wanted to get a few starter kits as gifts.

I might have missed it but what juice manufacturer are you using in your prefills? I get a weird aftertaste (which I originally thought was the carto) but found it to be the juice after my 2nd refill.

I'm just a bit picky with my flavors. My gf (who ordered the kit) is having a blast with the pre-filled.

Hang in there, StarChacer. Up the nicotine for a day or try some more flavors, and definitely use you battery at times you would have used a cigarette - with coffee, after a meal, etc. I had that on day 3 too, but once I got to week 3, I was better prepared - and I actually marathon vaped 0mg to get through it, lol. I haven't hit month 3 yet.

we cannot reveal the factory but it is made in china and it is not dekang. Some other vendors do sell it.

The jitters (from my experience) could also be from too much nicotine. If you're vaping more than you smoked to get your nic fix, maybe cut back a little or lower your nic strength, and keep in mind that this new nic delivery system is a lot slower than analogs. You vape and you vape, then BAM! Too much! :)

I chain vape whenever I can, and when I start getting jittery (heart palpitations, etc.), I lower my nic. I'm down to 4-6 now, from 11-12. When my nic's too low, I get headaches, I have trouble focusing, and all I wanna do is sleep all the time...but that's just me...

Was a week without analogs before this hit me. A whole day and a half of wanting to smoke. And, it'll happen to me a few more times in the next few weeks too.

Did I want the taste of a cig? No.
Did vaping more help me? Not really.
My brain wanted my old habit back. It also wanted that immediate (and concentrated) nicotine hit.

Having quit so many times before, I've gotten used to the feeling. Doesn't make it any better, but I know how to deal with it: Do something. Something that you do not associate with smoking. The key for me is engaging the brain with something else.

This is definitely new to me. I've quit smoking a ton of times. The longest period for me was 7 years, and I quit cold turkey. I feel a little apprehensive to tell you the truth, about vaping. Since that was my experience, I worry about trading one addiction for another. Although, no matter what happens, I get analogs are worse for you. And honestly want to quit smoking. For some reason, it's harder this time. I have cut back a ton, since vaping. And I am happy for that, but haven't quite kicked the habit. :(

Having read the thread I diluted out:

Something may very well be missing!!

Nothing is currently available to replace this "something" except analogs?

Ginseng may help?

Some people still have smokes while they vape. They wean themselves off slowly instead of stopping immediately. Nothing wrong with that. In this case, less (smoking) is better. I think some people use vaping to just cut down on smoking and not quit completely. I don't see anything wrong with that. Better a few cigs a day instead of 1-2 packs.

With vaping, you're trading one habit for another, as you said. As I've mentioned in other threads, you are addicted to the nicotine and with vaping you are just changing delivery systems (and getting rid of those carcinogens we all know and love). I think the trade-off is worth it. Plus I don't have to worry about walking around smelling bad to other people. At least, not due to cig smoke.

Hi Imagine,
Regarding the new Facebook contest, I know that the rules are no Photoshopping...does that mean AT ALL? I used soft focus and a slight color tint on my photo...will that disqualify it?
I wasn't sure if this rule only applies to photo manipulation or if it also pertains to what I did to the photo, correcting and fine tuning it.

Thanks. :)

That kind of adjustment is OK (like blurring out a wart in the middle of your nose). She just doesn't want obviously faked photos, like adding a battery to an old picture. Like is done on the ads
