I am a little confused - Not Unusual - especially in these situations when there is just too much information to figure out . . .

So HELP - Since I have the same wall wart - Am I correct to assume at all that I can or cannot use this with any of the Volt batteries (which I have been with the 78 Auto's) - including the New Volt X2 without damaging them . . .

Please - just a YES - or NO . . . :)
OK, now I'm confused too. On the website it says this:
How to Charge
Unscrew the metal tip that is on the bottom of the battery. Take your Micro USB cable that came with your X² Volt Battery and plug it in to a USB Port on your computer or the 1.5amp Volt Wall Adapter. Then take the mini USB end and plug it in the spot that was under the metal piece. Where the device is plugged in will glow red while charging and turn off when finished. Charging time is approximately 3 hours.

Note:
-The will not fit in your Slider PCC, Mega V2 PCC, and may have issues fitting in to the carrying cases.
-DO NOT try to charge these with your VOLT USB Battery Chargers. Only charge using the Micro USB Cord that comes with the item.
Imagine, are you saying that the X2s CAN be charged with the USB dongles with the .5 amp wall wort like regular batteries?
But even if it CAN be charged that way, the .5 amp won't fire it up as a passthrough, right? :?::blink:

NO - I AM NOT Saying ANYTHING Like That . . . I am asking a Question about the use of the "Wall Wart" I have . . .

It is the exact same one as discribed by "StarChacer" that came with my first eCig that is not from SI . . .

AND - I have used it to charge My Volt 78 Auto Batteries without any problem(s) at all . . .

Yes, Uncle. It sounds like you have the same type of wall wort as StarChacer. But as I was reading your post, I noticed a discrepancy that made ME wonder about a couple of things...

Any 500mAh (.5 amp) wall wort will work to charge regular batts, but now I'm wondering how they can be used with the X2s. On the site it says you need a 1.5 amp charger, but here on this thread (and the other one), Imagine said that the 500mAh works too. So, different question, I guess...just trying to clarify things.

we are only going to carry the stainless in blanks... it will be a few weeks before they are back in stock... if you want to wait that's fine just order black and let me know your order # :)
My original reason for coming to post . . . "Imagine" finally got my cart filled and set to purchase, however It now says there are no more Stainless Steel Blank Cartomizers . . . Can I still pruchase them during the sale, although I know I will have to wait for them to be shipped . . . Or are they available prefilled . . .

It will CHARGE the X2, but will it fire it up as a passthrough?
Also, would you use the USB cable or dongle to charge it? (which end of the X2 do you plug in?)

Listen to me, like I have the money to actually buy one of these things...just trying to clarify, cuz I can see the confusion. thx.

Our conversation that sadly started this confusion was purely about pass throughs, 1.5 amps are needed to run a pass through.
the .5 amps charge everything just fine.

Hope that clears up the discrepancy

Ooooh, Uncle, Uncle!!! :jumps up & down, waving: I'm sending back some SS blanks that I was sent by mistake. They should be going back to SI on Mon or Tues, depending on when my latest order arrives. Still in their sanitary blister-packs. Maybe you can work something out with them?

I may have been confusing about it too...plus this is a good thing to point people to..we get these questions a lot :p

Thanks, Imagine. Makes sense to me! :)
That should make Uncle happy. I think he was trying to figure out if he should also buy a 1.5 amp charger, because I think I gave him the wrong idea that he needed it to fire up the X2. Sorry, Uncle! You're OK with the one you have! :)

A smaller PSU can be used to charge batteries. But only for charging.

Imagine i wonder what the chemistry of the lithium battery is inside. Can you give us some info?
Is it Li-Ion?
Li-FePO4?
LiMnNi?
LiNiCoMn?
Li-Poly?
Li-Air?

That determines the charging current, protection circuits etc etc
