Earlier today I received two 1300mah X2 batteries. Both are Automatics and one of them has a very tight draw. So tight that I'm sucking juice out of my cartomizer just to get a vape. I can't use the battery in this condition. I attempted to use the "Chat" feature on the SI website but I must have just missed them.

I really don't want to send the battery back for exchange but I will if there is nothing else I can do. I have already tried sticking a pin into the air holes at the top of the battery. I also blew into the air holes at the bottom, with the cap removed, and the light came on like it should. The air holes do not appear to be restricted as far as I can tell. I tried three different cartomizers and they all have tight draws when used on the battery but they work fine on my other batteries including the other X2 that I got today.

Is there anything that I can do myself to open up the draw?

Sitting down, facing forward.
Check two thing - First, check the air holes at the charger end of the battery. I've had problems with plating blocking those holes. Then, check the air holes at the base of the 808 thread area on the battery end. You can use a needle or dental pick to clean the out and make sure they're open. Again, plating can be a problem there as well. Don't worry about "shorting the battery out". If it's an auto there's no voltage present unless you're vaping and unless you press the switch on a manual, the same is true.

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it. Your results and mileage may vary. No warranty or guarantee is expressed or implied. Proceed at your own risk.

Thanks awsum. I tried both of those things and I'm still not having any luck. The air holes appear to be unrestricted. I haven't charged the battery in question yet so I suppose that could be the problem. Doesn't seem like it though but I'll try that next.

Does the light blink on the X2's when the battery needs a charge? The light is not blinking but it takes some serious suction to get it to come on.

Does the 1300 spinner come in all the X2 colors? I have been waiting to order a sky blue, any idea when they will be available?

Also, are there any new products being developed? Perhaps a filler-less carto similar to the raven carto? I know you've said that SI wants to concentrate on beginners, but beginners become experienced vapers quick! I, for example, have a LOT of SI batteries and I love them, no complaints at all. But, I would like to have more options in juice delivery using the 808s, especially the big battery sizes, without going elsewhere or using adapters, which ruin the look for me.

Come on SI! Give us some "for the experienced user" tank systems to match our X2s and spinners! (please?)

Nice post QRXT...and Imagine's answer is just as nice...Yes we do become experienced vapers fairly quickly, intermediate and well-versed anyway...and think of the the buzz it would create if X2/Spinner versions of any of the more popular delivery devices out there were developed by SI. SI would create quite a stir and move itself to the absolute forefront. Everybody would be talking! I'll be using my Spinners for quite a while, don't want to have to keep searching other vendors when SI could be selling to me. Be great for this to happen, we'd all love to see it, would be terrific for us and SI.

Cindy, prodding and nagging does seem to work.:laugh: Don’t forget T3 replacement heads and variable volt batteries.

I haven’t used S.I. stuff for a while because they don’t have the better clearos(I.E. the Evod and T3S)(hint, hint);), but I still follow this forum. I keep hoping they’ll give me a reason to come back.

So are you recruiting me, J.R.? I think I used all my nagging and prodding points up with the Orange and Lime Green!
About to try the Vision VT and the Kanger eVod with an adapter. I love my SI regulated batteries too much to switch.
