going to 2.4-2.6 should not make much of a difference I would not go below that ...it will shorten not only usage time but the life of the battery.

We are working on something similar without the need for needle filling :p

Imagine, if I remember right, you said the cartomizers are 2.8ohm. I get about 3-3 1-2 hours of vaping on a 78mm battery.

My question is this, how much will using the 2.4-2.6ohm bottom coil Phoenix from gotvapes affect my battery life between charges? Is is worth it to use that resistance or should I use the 2.6-2.8ohm?

On another note, I really wish you guys would get a similar product. I love my clearomizers but need my smaller batteries for work. Ever since getting the clearomizer, I don't like the taste of a cartomiZer

I use the 2.4 Phoenix with an adaptor on my unsealed 78s with great success. Not really much if any noticable difference in charge time. The adaptor won't work on my sealed autos. It won't activate the batteries. I'm sure it would probably work well on a manual but I don't own a Volt manual. I didn't like the adaptor at first until I realized it provided me with an extra buffer on my unsealed 78s against juice. Haven't had any problems with the Phoenix leaking at all but at least it's there. I can't wait until SI comes out with their similar version, which I'll probably use on my sealed autos. I get a nice cool but plentiful vapor and the taste is amazing. All I've used and probably will is the bottom coil so far. I bought one pack when they first came out and still have two left. Don't like the syringe so come on SI engineers. Time to make the doughnuts.

They have it in an 808 now. If I did my math right, a 2.8 ohm carto on the volt will give you 345 3second puffs. or 17.24minutes of actually pressing the button. a 2.5ohm carto on the volt will give you 307 3second puffs, or 15.36 minutes of actually pressing the button. So I guess its not that different. My question now is, Is there a noticable difference in the vape between the two?

Its funny, I have an adapter for 510-808 and it works on my autos. Its weird how some of them work and some dont.

Yeah, I think I am going to go with the bottom coil. I have the top coil fluxos and although I like the warmth of the vape, I hate the issues with the cup seal cutting of the wicks supplying juice to the atty. Then, if you fiddle with it, it leaks.

This is only for when I'm on the road anyway. At home, I use my X2 and the clearos exclusively.

I don't bother with the math and I don't count my puffs. I just vape as my mood, free time and needs dictate and go by actual experience. I haven't noticed anything appreciable as far as charge time loss. I'm sure there's some. I don't take the same amount of puffs one day as I may the next depending on what I'm doing. All my 510/808 adaptors have worked. It's the 808/510 that don't work on my sealed auto batteries. I like the flavor I get from the Phoenix a lot better than what I get from the clearos. Don't know what the difference is but they seem to taste a lot better. That's just me.

I dont count my puffs either, I just wanted to see if the difference is a few minutes or an hour. the 78mm battery lasts me about 3 hours or so the way I vape. So, if my calcuations are right, with only a 2 minute difference in actual time, I shouldnt notice it. I dont take 3 second puffs anyway. Either its a nice long 5 second one, or I'm leaving it my mouth for short 1 second bursts.

Hey imagine, any chance we can have a PIF sticky to help newbies with stuff without trading? I have stuff that I'm not going to use that I would give to people rather than trading. I know there is one on the main forum, but thought maybe we could have something for the "volties"

Also, are we still doing the pif thread for the new members forum? There has been a winner since the week ending 5/25
