Sorry to hear about your truck MrOutlaw, but glad you got it fixed for a reasonable price. I have to admit I'm jealous, but is it 4X4? Just getting up the driveway, unless it's plowed, can need a 4X4 at times. I usually drive things until "the wheels fall off". To me, after having and driving just about anything that moves short of an M1A1, its just a hunk of metal that moves. As long as it does what I need, has air conditioning, a heater/defroster, a decent radio (yeah, don't need anything fancier) and is comfortable to sit in, it works for me.

 I used to be that way too. If I heard a strange noise, I'd just pretty much ignore it until that part would fall off. Problem solved. It's a bit different now. Being disabled changes everything. I know that my brakes are bad. I know that it won't be long before I start hearing metal screaming against metal. But - I only drive once everything three or four weeks to go to the grocery. So ............. I keep putting it off.

No, I fix them if they need it, like brakes, tires, tune-ups and such. Heck, once in a while I even wash and wax 'em until the clear coat starts peeling. I just keep driving the same old thing until it breaks so badly that fixing it isn't "cost effective". I typically put 200,000 plus miles on everything I own/drive. An exception was my 2000 Continental that blew a transmission last spring at 87,000.

Well, see, that's another part of being disabled. Ya can't always afford to fix it when they need it.

I heard that, and you don't have to be disabled not to be able to afford to fix them either. Problem is that it's too darn far to walk to the grocery store! Makes for some "tight times" every now and then.

LOL! I'm having the same problem with my husband! Plus now I offered to buy SI ECigs for my boys so they will stop dipping! They both keep asking me when.....I'm waiting for the CE3's!:p

Oh man dippers. I have a friend from my college years that dipped. All of us guys would hit the bars together. After a few beers, he would pack some in and spit it in an empty beer bottle. Needless to say, sometimes I would pick up the wrong bottle and get a mouthful of that stuff. Good times:) He would always buy the person a beer, well after everyone laughed for 5 minutes.

Sorry just a nice trip down memory lane.. Thanks!

Oh yes.. waiting on those ce3s. I broke a couple the clutz I am.

Been there, done that. I'm so glad I quit dipping. Talk about a disgusting habit, always having to have a spit bottle around, yuck.
