Blue foam can be found at stores with aquarium supplies, pet stores etc.. Its the bonded foam sleeves for some kind of filters, lol. Im not even sure what they're really for, but they know me at the pet store! LOL

is this a great mod btw or does it have its downsides?a link would be great...im having trouble with all the mentions it gets in posts without the actual descriprin of how tos etc.
thanks in advance i know its annoying when the same question is asked a million times and idiots like me cant filter properly!!!
Blue foam has no down sides, its just a superior filler. You can use it as staight fill replacement or do all kinds of crazy things with it. Grab a bag full and go nuts!
When I found out e-cigs were available in the US (I'd read articles on them when they first came out in China) I ordered one for my husband and I after doing an amazing amount of research and watching video reviews/instructions. We stopped buying cigs the day before they showed up so by the time we got them I'd have none left. It worked out well. We went for 4 months with out an analog and were fine. Now I do have an occasional cigarette when I'm drinking or out with friends but I would say that would be very minimal. I do enjoy a good analog every once and a while (I hate the smell horribly though). My breaking point was when my mother passed away this year and e-cigs just weren't cutting it.
I think there was also a period where I was just getting bad equipment. No throat hit= bad for me. I just got a Janty Ego and am very pleased with it's performance!
I bought some stuff from my local aquarium place to try the mod but it didn't work very well and had a residual taste that put me off. A very kind lady here on the forum posted some of the genuine blue foam to me from the US but it had a bad smell, like it was imprgnated with something. I've washed it by hand and even put it through the dishwasher, but he smell persists. I made a plug any way and it worked very well, but tasted like it smelled and after a couple of hours, I felt seriously nauseas and had to stop using it. I'll try putting through the washing machine next.
In the meantime, I'm using regular carts with the filler they came with and find that, as long as the atomiser is strong, the liquid feeds well and empties the cart. When the atomiser starts to weaken, I apply centrifugal force by flicking the PV a couple of times to force the juice to the coal-face and carry on. Just be sure to take a firm grip on it so as not to hurt innocent bystanders.
im gonna try the petshop stuff n see but will watch out for stinky foam...haha
dont wanna let the thread drift too much am loving hearing all the positive quitting stories...sorry to hear about your mom ozrick. thankyou for sharing your story...its nice to know that even if i cave i can go back to ecigs like others have and not let it stop me for good...
haha deschain...i do believe you are right!!!he owes me big time...i wish he was the one lighting those cigs for me yesterday...alas it was my own fault...but i would never bother to go to a garden centre for them so its great to have someone i see regularly who can help me : o) i may even get him a disposable as a thnakyou!!!(and to spread the ecig pool a lil more here in ireland!!!)
I first got a crappy e-cig, the Health E-Cig .... few puffs were great, then blah. Then the next cart went the same way ... so on and so on ... it only cost me $18 or so and it was enough to decide that a good e-cig would work.
Mid November I got my Joye 510. I have not had a cigarette since the day I got it.
Vaping definitely, absolutely, without a doubt, no question about it, breaks the deathgrip that analogs have on you. Even if you still have an analog or two from time to time, you'll find they no longer have power over you and go back to vaping.
I disagree with Doug. I just shove the blue foam in without washing it or anything and it tastes great right away. I know someone will argue that its less filling, but we can all agree to love the blue foam.
I had quit cold turkey last year Feb. 2nd. Made it ok until this March. Had some back to back major stressfull situations and right back to the analogs. Didn't help that everyone around me smoked either. Any hoo found out about the e-cig and quickly ordered one. I was smoking a pack to a pack in a half a day. I probably could have quit right away, but after hearing about the impending "ban" on them, I went into freak stock up mode. While I was stocking up I was still smoking due to the stress of not knowing whether or not the verdict would come before I had everything I felt I needed to make this work for me. I have anxiety issues. I had cut way back on the smoking but had not been able to quit. Now that I am comfortably stocked up for at least 2yrs I have been able to relax and enjoy my vaping. It did take some time to find the right mgs for myself. Got all that down now and I haven't had nor wanted one in over a month.
The day I got my 510 was the last day I had a cigarette, I had it on my way back from the grocery store before I got home and retrieved the mail.
Granted, that was only 5 days ago, lol - and I have had an errant thought or two about smoking a regular cig. So it's not completely gone, that craving.. but my 510 usually clears up any craving I might be having.
thanks for sharing geekchick...5 days is long enough without an ecig though to warrant a congratulations!!!had we done it cold turkey thered be some pretty annoyed people(cant use the word i want to use or itll get xxxx out!!!)
haha we will begin to see them in january though who havent found vaping yet....
