Hey guys, I could use your help. I bought the 316 stainless one everyone raves about on fast tech. It is a good attie, but my main grip is that its flooding inside the airflow control. Every time I fill it, even with the juice control shut, when I open it and vape, I hear the whistling gurgling sound coming from the air holes and sometimes juice might leak out.. If i roll up a tissue and stick it in the air holes u can see its soaked with juice. Its not a flood thats leaking out like crazy but juice keeps getting in there and it ruins the experience when you hear the whistling gurgling and sometimes even some leaking out of those holes.. Any ideas for a fix or why this is happening?

Bottom O ring on the deck is the cause of all leaking problem. Replace it with original KF O ring, not Chinese crap.

Not true. While the o-ring at the base of the deck is a common cause, other things can cause leaking, including failure to tighten up the center post. And remember boys and girls, when you fill, it's easy to accidentally get juice in the air hole, especially if you're using one of those "dropper" type thingies.

just bought a tobeco v4 delivered to my door for $7.82.

Kayfun V4 Clone by Tobeco
Heh. Didn't expect to so soon, but I ordered one.

Took me a long time to place the order, though. I had to convince myself that it was highly unlikely that I would ever own a Reo. Had to revisit the prices of the mod, repair kit, batteries and accessories and give it some thought. Finally decided that it was pretty unlikely that I would buy one. If there was a VW + TC bottom feeder mod at a half-way reasonable price, maybe, but I haven't seen anything like that yet and what with the FDA fiasco, there may never be one.

Why did I have to go through that? Along with the Tobeco Kayfun v4, also being sold as a clearance item is the authentic Mark Bugs Chalice III FOR $29.99. Jeez that was hard to not buy.

Btw, there were only 9 Tobeco Kayfun v4s left after I ordered. :)

Found more e-liquid between the squarish 510 pin assembly and the level where the air flow screw is accessed. I think the liquid is coming through the air flow screw, as I could see that the inside of the shaft was quite wet. The liquid was pretty dark so I'm pretty sure that it was e-liquid and not condensation. None of the liquid made it out the bottom of the tank though. Luckily there is a well below the shaft that catches the liquid.

This was maybe 6-8 fills after I last checked.

Next time fully disassemble the unit, I think I'll try to position the screw just a shade above the bottom of air slot in the shaft. I'm thinking that maybe more liquid will roll off the tip of the screw and out of the slot in the shaft. Dunno if that would be better or worse, though - maybe the liquid would start coming out of the side air holes rather than being caught in the well below?

Still could be condensation. It gets pretty dirty flowing thu there.

I can't see why someone would like using those "dropper" thingies??? Looks like a pain in the azz.

That's what Ahlusion sends with their juice. It's really not a problem- you just have to be careful, especially on the regular sized V3. On The plus the dropper fits right into any of the top grill holes.

Would actually like to find a better syringe type of thingy, especially for the KFL with the little fill holes. I've tried various syringes in the past, but never found quite the right one (too thin, too fat, too sharp- ouch). Something with a nice slim plastic tip would be nice. Any suggestions?

I think I used syringes or needle tip bottles to fill the KFL's. I really can't remember now???

For those of you who are fond of rolling up pieces of paper towel to clean out your hardware (yuck!), here are cotton pipe cleaners! I've been using some synthetic ones I got from WallyWorld a couple years ago, but they're obviously not as absorbent. Found these cotton ones last week and they arrived today- very nice! :)
