Look for the 10pk. It's a buck more but it also comes in a pelican-like case (obviously not an authentic pelican ). I saw it a day AFTER I ordered the 5pk.

I also just checked to make sure they were all intact and put them away but decided to look at one and found the edges smooth like butta :D. The Tobeco versions are also flamed too.

It seems like the Tobeco is still the clone champ and also one of the least expensive.

Good that you ordered the 5 pack, that's the one confirmed to be heat treated after cutting - the 10 pack is of worse quality.

Getting the 5 pack. Don't need the case :D

I am sure we will see different versions of the Kv4 in the future. Same way we did with the original kayfun. Hopefully some of the common issues will be addressed and fixed. Though many are happy with it as-is. Nothing beats having something that works great for you.

There's tons coming out.

The v4 isn't really a lung hitter (unless you have the 4s kit) but if you want a reliable one, try a Tobeco since you don't like tinkering.

Yeah the Kv4 is kinda tight for a lung hit. But I manage. Nowhere as tight as a KFL. Now my Lemos. Those I can lung hit all day with ease with the afc 3/4 closed.

straight lung obviously
Yes how did you lung hit cigs? Ultra lights? (I'm actually intrigued as I personally never thought anyone lung hit cigs).

Again - literally no offense - but that was like one of those things "new smokers" did in my analog days. That or people who smoked bowls/joints first. Know what I mean?

I did it as like a joke/trick every once in a while I'd take down literally like 3/4 of a cig with a giant cherry from one giant lung hit. Haha.

If you smoked cigs like that you must have iron lungs - because I felt like my chest was going to explore doing that - followed by coughing. It turned into a date that people would ask to see me almost smoke a whole cig in one hit. Lol.

I'm guessing you took small lung hits off analogs - no where near the big lung pulls you're now doing with ecigs - am I right?

Yeah I actually smoked light 100's. Smoked for 26 years. But even when I would smoke regulars I would smoke the same way. I did mouth to lung once on a while. I mean it wasn't like I was taking a major .... hit or anything. LOL

So...

My Tobeco is settling in to be a great vape. Did a complete tear down on Saturday (every piece except the center post) and stupid me forgot to shut off the juice control when I filled it. Ended up tearing down the base again to get all the juice out of it, but that was me being stupid...

Ever since though, it's been wicking like a dream and no more gurgling in the base, maybe it just had to settle in to it's new "forever home" and get comfortable. I even took it with me on the road today in our spectacular Rochester weather, left it in the van to get good and cold for a while, and there were no issues.

The one change I made however was to go with the full PMMA tank section this time. Maybe with 2 less possible leaky seams it decided not to flood on me. Gonna take it with me again tomorrow on my Ant mod to see if it will make it through the day again without any issues. All in all, I'm more than satisfied with this atty and it will become my "all day carry". With the PMMA tank it's not much bigger than the KFL and the capacity (for me) is more than enough for a full days work...

I sometimes wonder if I have the only bad tobeco.

I've wondered this same thing before.

Frankly, mine hasn't been a picnic. To be fair, all of my threads were clean and all of my o-rings seem okay. But I had burrs in the juice holes, and my fair share of strange assembly issues getting this thing to work smoothly. However, after a very good cleaning, and a couple of hours of tuning (removing burrs, etc...), it's now the tank I reach for for great all day flavor.

Seriously though -- very sorry to hear of your troubles.

Chances are it's going right down the center post, I think you have the air flow screw removed, right?

I flooded mine this weekend after tearing it dowm because I forgot to close the juice control while filling it. It loaded up the bottom section of the base and I still have my air flow screw installed...

If your wicking isn't correct (dry hits and/or gurgling) you are probably drawing juice up onto the terminal blocks where it will drain down the center post and sit on the 510 screw and nut. No real seals there so it will end up at the 510 screw.

Not an expert, still figuring this out myself, but that's what my best guess is saying...

So to revisit my earlier post does anyone know what could be causing juice to leak through the 510 connection? Don't recall anyone having that issue.

Here is probably what's happening, you have a slight leakage past # 16, it leaks out the 510 screw because it "can". It leaks out slow just like it accumulates so it never get to the level of the air holes hence no gurgling. Here's my work around for that as well as changing #16 (it does wear from opening and closing JC).
I tied this and it fits perfectly, install a 2 x 1 mm o-ring under the head of the 510 screw's head. Don't have one? Do you have one of those key chain screw drivers like some atties come with, there is one 2 x 1 o-ring on each end. This won't stop the leak but it will stop it from leaking into the 510 of your mod.

Mine had some metal shavings (2 pieces) but it took about 10 mins to clean and start a build and it's been flawless since.

Check to see if you have (2) and (10) installed. Those are what seals your chamber from the 510 pin. (2) on my FT was so tight that couldn't get it out so I left it rather than risk damaging it. It fell out of my FC v4 and I almost lost it. (10) on all 4 are snug but fairly easy to push out.
