^^^^ also a lot of folks use the "like" button to indicate they have read it. Not sure how good that works though.
I fill to the top of the counter nut every time(#33).
To the top of it ?
How is your air-control set?
Are you getting ANY seeping, as in slightly wetting fingers or mod?
Are you getting ANY bona fide leak events, where more than
a single kleenex must be used?
For me it's much MUCH less likely to leak if I only fill to leave a gap below the bottom of #32.
My theory has to do with the surface tension of the liquid preventing wholesale juice ........, and enough air above the liquid being the spring that aspiration works against. It's like this complex equilibrium, where 4 ml of glycols is suspended just so. If I fill as much as halfway up on #33 what always happens is that the little seeping (that inevitably occurs now and then) doesn't self-correct, and it then turns into the dreaded joosapocalypse where #5 starts to fill like a rowboat, make slurpy sounds and liquid starts to dribble out the air holes.
If I open the air all the way or take #13 out altogether, it's more likely to happen, a tighter airflow seems to pull liquid better into the wick, and also self-corrects any seepage.
Did you run out of juice?
Lose your meds?
Where's the straight jacket?
+1 on the kids on my lawn though![]()
Exact same here, with the difference I run 2 k4s with the air screw removed. Never leaks .....I fill right to the top with no leakage, seepage or wetness at all. After I fill and turn the tank over I have a tiny air bubble. Then I open the liquid control and watch the bubbles rise. Air control has some restriction the way I like. Similar to my KFL's. If I fill above the nut, it will squeeze out thu the threads.
