Hang in there, it's out of FT's control. I had an order with no update since the 9th just show up on tracking at my local post office an hour ago, with nothing showing on tracking between there and Shenzhen.

MILLIONS of packages were dumped on China Post and USPS in the first two weeks of February, about four times the normal volume, to get shipments out ahead of the closing of China for two weeks. HUGE backlog at Customs and sorting on both sides. And then the crap weather on the East Coast for all of February messing with flights, and the port strike on the West Coast causing things to be re-routed elsewhere, further adding to delays.

Same here, placed an order on the 10th, and tracking finally updated this weekend, should show up tomorrow.

Keep us updated of you're able to get it to work properly and what you did to fix/get it to work.

Now both the silver and the black are vaping great. And so is my older son's silver.

I can't be sure what I did differently on the one dry build, but I think that I had packed the wick too tight in the wells.

The silver unit has a 5/64" drill bit wind 28 G 1.4Ohms, and the black a 7/64" 28 G 1.2Ohms. I cleaned the deck, checked the holes with a piece of guitar string, nothing very special. The wick is the same koh gen doh cotton on both, and they pass through the coil tight enough to give enough resistance when pulling the wick through that if I pulled hard and fast it would pull the coil over.

Checked that there is no void between wick and coil as there was in that catastrophic picture. The clearance above the air hole around 3 mm. Made sure the wick shaggy dog haircut, as pushed back down into the wells, just reaches the deck and leaves a little space on the edges, so liquid can fill the well without the cotton blocking it off. I think this is important. Better to bunch up the wick from the sides to the center with a little screwdriver, and leave an empty space over each liquid feed hole on the side, than cram too much cotton in there and plug the holes.

Someone had mentioned that he was cutting the wicks short so they didn't reach the deck floor, that's probably the same idea. We're vaping pretty hard in that we expect a lot o' hairy capillary from these wicks.

Before putting it together I dripped liquid into the wells rather than onto the coil and made sure I could see liquid was wicking ok, wetting the cotton inside the coil. Fired it once before reassembly, it was sizzling evenly, no big pops. I kinda think big pops are a sign of pockets and uneven coil-wick contact.

So, nothing special, just more attention to detail.

It reads 4.3 volts and 13 watts on the display with the 1.4 ohm coil on the Defender 25 watt adjustable, and that atty sounds/tastes just a smidge hotter than the black 1.2 ohm coil on the black mechanical 4-9 mod with a reasonably fresh 4.2 volt IMR battery. These Kayfun V4s are mahvelous! The way you can take them apart and check the insides without losing any juice or ruining the build.

The juice is zero-nic 95% VG, around 5% FlavourArt flavoring (since we truly don't know anything about the inhalation toxicity of food flavoring other than diketones, I never ever risk using over 5-10% of flavoring), a few drops of 151 Rum and distilled water. Yummy. Zero calorie dessert.

No question that I'm addicted. But to WHAT? At first it was Propylene Glycol + Nicotine. That's an active cocktail. Then it was just VG and nicotine. Then I dropped the nicotine and i'm down to just flavored VG. And I'm still strung out. Feel like RIP Trippers, I want MORE, bigger clouds! Wind some crazy coils, I want MORE, bigger batteries, bigger taste! Whooooaaao!

How about it? Who's going to have the first Kilowatt mod?

I thought I share my latest modification I did to get rid of the spring and improve conductivity of my Kayfuns V4 (works for both 23mm and 28mm)

My new, improved Kayfun V4 Positive Pin. Constructed of solid stainless steel piece with M2.0 - 0.4mm threaded brass end for better conductivity. The airhole bore, of course, is 2.7mm and 6 side holes are 2 mm each. Please forgive me the finish, it is of the lathe. I was in a hurry to test my project. Next one I'll use fine grid sand paper to finish it. I replaced this pin in a working 0.9Ω build (without taking off the coil) and immediately noticed a 0.02Ω decrease. It isn't much, but under some heavy load that 0.02Ω will matter and in a Ni200 0.16Ω build, it matters a lot. IMHO

Of course it depends what kind of vaper you are, since personally I don't vape above 30 watts, I don't care about such small differences in conductivity. I don't know if the effect of brass is significant on the 510 positive pin itself, and maybe just solid SS would be easier to make? But IMHO it's altogether a very appropriate innovation, it corrects what can only be considered a dubious compromise in the KF V4's design, and opens up more possibilities. It's GREAT, I love it!

I ordered some back up glass for my kf4's on Jan 29th from FT and its stuck in China post since Feb 5th. Paid extra for shipping too. They are blaming the east coast weather for the delay. I told them that I want my money back. They suck lately. Used to get my orders from them in 7-12 days.

My very first order with FT got refunded after 8 weeks of being stuck. I don't recall the exact circumstances but they refund after 8 weeks IIRC.

My last 2 orders from them last year took almost 4 weeks also. You can't blame the holiday with those. They used to be fast. I bought a lot from them but because of the last few orders taking too long forces me to buy elsewhere.

Your never guaranteed a fast delivery from FT. You are how ever guaranteed a fair price. Some times your lucky and in 2 weeks you get it some times it takes for ever and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. If you need it fast don't buy from FT :) My experience is most of the time I get it fairly quick 2 to 3 weeks but not always!

All my orders from them prior to the last 3 I got in 12 days or less. Some in 7 days. That was good. This last order is now over a month. I bet it's lost.

100 orders Wow I mite have 25ish? My problem is I,m in Central Canada and all FT orders land on the west coast 3,000 KM away. It takes at least 5 days across the country, even after it has passed thru custom in Canada, to get to me. So under 10 days is never going to happen here :(

I'm not sure just how many orders that I made but well over one hundred and counting.

Probably not.
My last order is over a month too. FT shipped it out, but probably got in the logjam at China customs, all vendors in all industries were shipping like crazy b4 Chinese New Year hit.
