^^^^ the real work comes with the next stage. There are some coils that are going to stay if possible. Note (if possible) that every one of these except the Lemo and the Gen's have pretty much the same 2 mm id contact coil.
You want to see my collection of used wicks/coils?
I have 4 K4's, I'm good.:)
Hah I thought I was the only one that kept my old coils!

Exact same here, with the difference I run 2 k4s with the air screw removed. Never leaks .....
Unless #9 loosens up, then it slightly weeps at the top of the JC. Been tightening it every 3 or 4 days when I rewick, have found it loose in all 3 of my Kayfuns each rewick.

I've read how others turn the JC when they pocket it .... Couldn't think of doing it with mine. All 3 are wobbly with the JC closed, with leaking just above it. Each refill I need to wipe the leak, not much, but it's there. Truly believe that even though we all have the same atomizer perhaps even same mfg, they're all slightly different!

So I still don't understand this post...
First paragraph you say tighten A9 to fix leak.
2nd paragraph you say problem with wobble and leak. ?

My problem yesterday of wobble when JC closed and then weep from above JC were both fixed by tightening A9 that had come loose...

Need to rephrase that.....When #9 is loose, it will weep in normal operating condition, JC open. When I close JC & refill, I always need to wipe the weep right after I refill & open the JC.

It's wobbly with JC closed and weeps regardless how tight I have #9. If #9 is loose, it's even more wobbly, leaking more. Seems like the fix on yours is torquing #9..... Not so on mine.

Amen! +1 and +2 and agreed!!
The lack of transparency from all but a handful of juice vendors on what is actually in their juice is my #1 reason for moving to DIY juice.
The 4x-8x savings is a great added benefit.
I plan on DIY only the Diketone free TPA and FA flavors. Huge thanks to them for their efforts in making these products available.

I'm surprised at the relative lack of interest by many on ECF towards the issue of Diketones.
Seems juice vendors continue to ignore info like provided by Dr. F and will unfortunately force external controls to be enacted.

but diketones are yummy

being a cranky old SOB that yells at the kids to get off my lawn, i want the dislike button!

Its too PC only being able to like something. Happy happy happy .... some crap I read makes me shake my head, blood pressure go up, & every now & then get in long drawn out arguments with differences of opinion.

Its un-American, the Declaration guarantees our right to the pursuit of happiness. But I can't pursue happiness & be content if not given the choice to unlike something! What color would you like your mod .... your choices are: silver. Same thing - without an unlike button, no choice!

:) :p

See .... if the forum had an 'unlike' button, you would immediately unlike this nonsense post. But nooooo.... lets be happy happy happy :)

LOL Face book took away the dislike button eons ago hahah I miss it

Why do people remove the O-rings for boiling? They are likely standard Viton O-rings and are good to 400+ F. Water boils at 212F. When my authentic comes in I'm throwing the whole thing in a pot of boiling water and dish soap.

Orings removed to get at the oil under them.

Hah I thought I was the only one that kept my old coils!

We all have some odd habits. You may remember (or not) that J Edgar Hoover kept bags of his nail clippings and belly button lint in his closet.

The closet, no doubt, that he and his "friend" lived in, while persecuting everybody who wasn't up to his standards of red, white and blue. In J Edgar's case it was perhaps like with coils, to guard against voodoo.

I wrecked it getting it apart. I lost patience and used a vise grip and that was that for Mrs. Dr.'s v4. Microscrewdriver doesn't fit a Tobeco, at least not what I had.

This thing worked flawlessly til I needed to put a new coil in it and couldn't get to the deck. I'm spending a few dollars more to replace it with a Lemo Drop. I liked the Tobeco v4, but I don't want to take the chance of running into the same issue. I will miss the top fill on the v4, but I want something I can take apart and put back together when I need to so I'll live with the bottom fill screw til something better comes along.

Would have got an Erl clone, but this soured me on clone tanks a little and I'll feel better spending a little more on the Lemo Drop.

You might want consider a Kanger Subtank mini also.( mini but about the same size as a K4)
