Hi guys, another question from me, I've recently noticed the oring on the build deck below the sleeve often is drenched and the sleeve/chamber is dripping in juice when I remove the tank... Is the oring here #18 meant to be keeping a tight seal?

Try this, remove the deck from the base and slide it into the chimney, you should be able to feel the drag of the o-ring.
So then the question is then is it letting the juice in or keeping it from getting out.

So I want to try ni200 on one of my Kayfun V4's when my flask arrives in a couple of days. Do I need the subohm kit or can I use the stock air flow screw and insulator? Looking at around a .16 ohm build. I do have a lemo V2 on preorder. Will be my first lemo.

You'll be fine with the stock insulator and airflow. Airflow is a bit subjective, it works stock, but more airflow doesn't hurt. I just drilled my center post to around 4S spec and called it a day.

I run 2 of mine with NI200 :) the stock air flow screw and insulator work fine for me. The problem is the spring, with the spring the ohms fluctuate.
I solved this problem by eliminating the spring in mine. There are several solutions this is what worked for me :)

The biggest improvement I made to my gearbest-sourced KF v4 was to open the center post up to 7/64" (2.78mm, or a bit larger than the S-kit's 2.7mm). I also enlarged the six center post side holes, up from 1mm (0.039”) to 1.1mm (0.043”, used a #57 drill bit). I left the radial air holes in the juice control ring as-is, they're sufficient for the diameter of the center post IMO. After the mods, the air control is actually needed- I found the draw to be a little too airy for my liking. Insulator was left as-is because I don't plan on any serious subohming with it.

I been hearing all the good things on the Kayfuns and RTA's and decided to give them a try. Normally I use G5-H2 or a Kanger protank style clearomizers. I ordered both the Orchid V4 and the EHPro Kayfun V4 and they both arrived yesterday. The Orchid im not impressed with. Leaks everywhere but its probably the set up. The Kayfun worked perfectly from the start and all I can say is "WOW". I put a simple 26 AWG wrap coil on it at 1.3 ohms, wicked it with Rayon and assembled it. Filled it with some max VG juice and vaped away on a mech mod. Then switched it over to my Istick 20, set it at 10 watts and perfect!

I am so impressed with the Kayfun that I had to order another one as well as a Clouper mini for it. I used drippers before and have a magma, TOBH, Patriot and others and gone the sub ohm route but they frustrate me. Everytime I get comfortable and am enjoying a good vape, dry hit!!! Gotta get up, find juice, re-drip, pain in the tail. With the Kayfun a tank last a long while, great clouds and flavor that only comes from dripping. Im sold from now on end! Thinking seriously of going to the local B&M and splurging on a bottle of mothers milk just for the kayfun!

As soon as I give a glowing review on the Kayfun V4 a glitch hits. The glass cracked and its leaking. Dont know how unless I over tightened it after filling it.

I've been happy with RTA's. I only use drippers to try out different juices and if I mix flavors. Sometimes just to blow thick clouds :D. I never used mechs so I don't normally sub-ohm. Most of my builds have been in the 1.5Ω range for kanthal. Now that I have a few DNA40 mods, my builds have been in the .12Ω - .20Ω range with Ni200. Best thing about DNA40's is that you can vape a build dry for a different juice and you won't burn your wick (I use rayon too) or get dry hits, just less vapor.

The great thing with VV/VW mods is that you don't have to build sub-ohm coils to get a satisfying vape or chuck clouds. And on a DNA40 with TP, you just keep vaping until the vapor thins out and you know to add more juice rather than get nasty dry hits to know you're running low on juice in your dripper.

When did you order the Cloupor Mini? Mine just shipped from Gearbest.

Couple things I am wondering about and hopefully yall can answer them. So far I been using max VG juice that I had on hand in my Kayfun but usually I make my own juice at a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. Does the Kayfun mind a 50/50 mix or is it better to prevent leaking to keep it at a higher VG ratio. Usually I care less about massive clouds and my vaping is more about the flavor. Also I normally vape at 6 - 10 mg nic. When dripping with max VG I can only handle 3 mg or I choke and get a fast nicotine buzz. Will it be the same way with an RTA like the Kayfun or can I use 6 mg like I do in smaller tanks?

Thanks in advance for the help yall.

I have the tobecco Kayfun coming (and a kayfun light and light plus) and will try some of my 50/50 6mg in them. I mix my own juice and have one of those 72 bottle finger nail polish racks full of juice so I am hoping I dont run into the same problem I had with dripping where anything more than 3 mg nic made me choke.

I received this Kayfun yesterday and enjoyed it so much that I cant put it down. I already killed one 15ml bottle of juice and am past half way on another bottle. I can see now I will be mixing larger batches of juice in the future!

I'm usually vaping all VG, I make my own, only way to go, 5% flavoring. I use a few drops of 151 rum to cut the viscosity. I try a few drops of PG now and then to see if it boosts the flavor, I'm not sure it really does, and I love the VG clouds.

On nicotine, these KF V4 machines put out so much vapor you can't expect to suck on strong liquids. I mean if you can go through several mL of juice in 10 minutes, and you can, you do the math, how much nicotine that blasts up your lungs.

My son is transitioning from cigarettes, he used 15 mg/ml nicotine in his pansy atties. After I got him a Kayfun V4 and filled it with 8 mg juice, he came begging for some 3 mg stuff. I mean it's obvious from the first drag, you need to temper yer nicotine -- if you're vaping pre-mix, you could just cut it with VG. I suppose you could make weakie coils/wicks and run it at 5 watts to see if you prefer that.

Me, I've been vaping for almost 5 years, gradually tapering on nicotine, and I finally switched to 0 nic when I got the kayfun V4. Don't miss it a bit, but I sure do live in a cloud.

Not that I would EVER leap to the defense of this Chinese contraption, but, if I may ask, have you ever had a Barbie? Did she have a head? Yeah, you probably overtightened it, a smidge ;-) All joking aside -- ALL JOKING ??? --- anyway, it takes some practice, some compromise. Too loose and it letrecs, I mean leaks, but it's more often that you unscrew the top and it turns out you were unscrewing everything and you end up nestling 41 pieces in a puddle of juice. Too tight and it leaks too, but it's best then to rinse out those shards o' glass. A happy medium is possible, he goes "Om".

Nope, never had a barbie. I kinda figured i over tightened the top cap, and it happens. Have a couple on their way now. I ended up using the clear tube that came with it and like it, but I am experiencing dry hits now. Take a couple drags and then get a dry hit. Unscrew the top center cap for a second and all is good again.

All VG works in this? thats all I use, I want a V4(Or something like it) because I am tired of leaks/gurgling/dry hits, I do mouth hits, not lung, hell I barely inhale at all, the subtank did not do it for me when I tested a friends....to much air.

To tired to read through the whole thread, is the Kayfun V4 by Tobeco at VapeNW the best clone? I was gonna grab that, a istick30, and this Ohm Reader Meter RBA RDA Prebuilt A1 Kanthal Micro Coils Organic Cotton | eBay not sure if thats good though? I am starting out, hate my smoktech aro 2 and protank 2, just wanna try building now.

A Tobeco KF V4 is good choice. An Istick is to :) I like the ohm meter from the EB link. Prebuilt coils not so good just buy a roll of 28 gauge kanthol and a bag of organic cotton sheets. There are a ton of KF V4 build videos on YT watch a few and jump in it's not that hard:) the risk is definitely worth the reward, when you get it right you will think I should have bin doing this all along :)
