Yeah , i find the airflow great as well , some people think it's too restrictive though which really surprises me .

Lung hitters generally find the Kayfuns (Taifuns, Erlkonigins, even the original Lemos, etc.) too restrictive.

I'm an MTL person and think that my K4 is just perfect--my kayfun Lite was a bit restrictive for my taste, though, but not much. I love the slightly increased airflow on the K4.

I think it's that they are used to over the top massive airflow type tanks .

They use thick gauge wires, large coil ID, very low resistance coils, tons of wicking material, which require a lot of power and air to function properly. Different style of vaping altogether.

I'm happy with the lung draw. I use 28ga. kanthal @ 2.4mm 7 wraps and cotton pads(Walgreens). What I've been doing is cutting way back on my flavoring to 5%. I may go down to 3%. I find my set up with the KF4 makes plenty of taste with taking the flavor down. I use 50/50 and 6mg of nic.

Thats what i was thinking , never cared to go in that direction , 28 gauge is ideal for everything i build and the vape is extremely tasty and satisfying .

I have tried that style of vape though , if i thought it was a better vape i would be doing it myself , it just hasn't been the case .

I bet if there is ever a mod that handles 500 watts , people will drop to even thicker wire and think that what they used to use was completely inadequate lol, never ending cycle.

There was a guy in one of our local groups looking for 18g Kanthal, probably building a dual 0.09Ω or 0.06Ω build in something.

24g is big enough for me in my drippers and I run 26g in the K4. The S-Kit installed does provide a little more air flow so I can do minor lung hits without a problem.

Ran into an issue which i cannot figure out, when i start a new juice it's great for a while and then dry hits , juice flow i know is wide open and the tank is full , anybody else experience this?

Thanks
I get that sometimes with thick juices (>80% VG). Actually, I just get less vapor since I'm only using TP mods :p.

This can happen if cotton is packed a little too tightly in the coil. I use rayon, personally. Unlike cotton, it tends to settle or shrink a bit instead of swelling so it's a little more forgiving if it's tight in the coil. Of course rayon can be overstuffed, too. It gives a tell-tale "nutty" taste. If the taste goes away after some use, you're good to go but if it remains, you would want to take some out. All this assumes the rest of the build is okay.

I get that with heavy juices sometimes as well. I just loosen #38 a few turns, watch the bubbles come up into the tank and you should be good to go.

Too dense of a wick on the deck will cause it as well.
What Cobalt said. ;)

Thanks everybody , after thinking about it i believe i may have used a bit too tight of a wick , i rebuilt it and it seems good now .

You guys are awesome , even you Katya , she's not around now apparently so i won't get laughed at this time , she likes to laugh a lot i think , especially when i was ripping my hair out over how to work the juice control etc... , not that there's anything wrong with that by the way.
