Mike ....

Thanks a bunch. I just ordered the atty.

Used the coupon code too. This company is in Florida (like me), so I did have to pay tax.
Total to the door price was $19.15 (great deal!)

Nice! not as cheap as $4 for one but still a decent price. Glad they were still in stock for you.

Mike ... Since you have been so helpful to me, I have a question:

Looking at photos of the kayfun V4, the center clear glass tank section looks to be kind of 'barrel shaped'. fasttech has a replacement glass center section, but it don't look barrel shaped at all to me. Is this the correct glass section for this?

Here is the link:
$2.06 Replacement Glass Middle Tank for Kayfun V4 (2-Pack) 2-pack - translucent at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

That's the one. I ordered 10 of them and have yet to break an original one in over a year now. I've knocked mine over a LOT and dropped them a few times. At least 4 are used every day with 6 in rotation.

Forgot about this happens occasionally to me as well. If you get a wobble at base there the juice control doesn't sit flush anymore do this.

errr, umm, the pictures shows taking the 'screw' out. Are you saying to try tightening that screw to get rid of wobble?

Lol what you said... ya I didn't read the post XD

It loosens sometimes but if you snug it down to much you won't be able to twist so find the happy medium.

Hey everyone - sorry to jump in here right in the middle of your thread, but I kindly need some info -

I am buying these 2 as my first foray into Kayfun & RTAs:

plus this one:

And I just wanted to know - I need Kanthal wire, right? I like about 1.5 ohms and single coil is an easy place to start. I'm not a high-tech, fancy vaper (more of a tootle poofer really). So what gauge Kanthal would I need/would you recommend?

Thank youuuuuuuu! Really appreciate it.

For 1.5 id say probably 28g... stuff gets to thin for me above that... personally think 24 gauge is so easy to work with so I just increase rings... might be able to with 26g ... but thinner wire, numerically higher, gives more ohms within a specified length.

Play around with the steam engine coil maker.. helps alot

I like using 28g Kanthal, 8 wraps around a 2.5mm mandril gives me 1.5Ωs. I like spaced coils not touching coils.

Going 'lower' 26 / 24 gauge you might run out of room on the build deck w/ enough wraps to get your 1.5Ωs

30 gauge wire heats up faster, but is more flimsy when it comes time to wick it. With cotton not too big a deal, but when using rayon the stiffer 28g is easier to stuff a lot of rayon through it

What are those two? Could you name them or provide a link?

Anyway, for my Kayfuns, I really like 2.25-2.5mm ID coils, 28 or 29g round kanthal A1 (I use Temco--good, inexpensive and free shipping), 1.4-1.8Ω, and Japanese organic cotton wicks (some prefer cellucotton, AKA rayon). I have a couple of Kuro coilers (Tobeco clones with removable rods) and can wind my coils with my eyes shut nowadays.

Good luck!

Here they are:

$12.35 Kayfun Lite Pawns Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 3ml / stainless steel + glass / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

$16.92 Kayfun Lite Styled Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (4.5ml) - stainless steel / rainbow plated / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

SLvapor - is this what you're talking about "steam engine coil maker"?

Anyway, for my Kayfuns, I really like 2.25-2.5mm ID coils

What does ID stand for? Is that the size of the mandril? Should I get a little DIY kit from Fasttech as well?

And...you're talking about this A1 kanthal but round instead of flat twisted?

$4.96 Authentic Pilot Vape Kanthal A1 Flat Twisted Heating Wire for Rebuildable Atomizers - 30 AWG / 0.25mm*1mm*5m at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
