Yesterday I've got my SXK Mini version. This is my first Kayfun ever.
Build quality is very good. I didn't saw original, but this one looks very solid.
However, while cleaning I've found some bigger metal particles, like leftovers from turning machine under top metal part of the tank. So be careful while cleaning this clones.
I've checked juice flow channels, they were clean. After filling, not a drop of leaking.

I'm beginner with RBA. My first build is 27 AWG Kanthal wire, 2.5mm, 7(or8) wraps coil, it came at 1.15ohm.
Until now, for MTL I was using Kanger subtank with stock coils 1.2 and 1.5ohm so I can only compare it with that.
My first impression is that vape is much more saturated comparing with Kanger coils. I've tried to push it up to 14W and I haven't got dry hit, but the vape was more saturated. Actually it was too saturated so I had to put it back on 13W and it seems good for now. Maybe I could try to put little bit more of cotton. This baby leaves so much room to play.

I have to use it more to tell if I really like it, but for now our relationship looks very promising. I'm waiting for JSMY full size version of Kayfun also. I would be happy if it turns out to be on pair with SXK version considering quality.

Well I think I am going to give up on this Clone.

I've now checked everything and simply not getting the flavor I get from either the V4 or the Lite.

I got the MTL kit and the center post is too narrow to accommodate it.

I have tried blowing out all the holes to no avail.
Tried all different wicks, thicknesses from thin to thick.
Tried Kanthal AWG32 / SS 18GA / and twists.
Checked O Rings
Washed out and cleaned of machine oil

No flavor still.

It gives heaps of vapor but no flavor.

Not sure if its the clone, or just generally the way this atty works, but its not working for me.

I may try a known good clone but in all honesty - too much messing around.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

The center hole is too small to use the mtl plug? There's your problem. Not enough air under the coil, so the coil gets too hot, burns up the juice inside it & doesn't allow enough vacuum to develop to pull more juice in fast enough, & cool the coil. Get a Tobecco. Your mtl kit will fit it. Eciggity with ECF code probably about 22.00 + shipping. What air setting are you vaping on?

Ive read that the sxk clone has a smaller airhole....around 2.9mm while tobeco and sjmy are 3.2mm and will fit the mtl kit.

If it really doesnt work out for you, i'd be interested in purchasing your mtl kit....please let me know via PM if youre open to this.

Thanks Guys,

I was told by the seller to try 26 GA wire for a better flavor but sounds like bull to me tbh. I may be wrong.

I may give the tobecco a try. I am an MTL though so hoping it fits the bill.
I have 5 tobeco's v5's and they all work flawlessly.I also only MTL and i find them perfect.

I'm using 27ga wire in my sxk mini and it gives good vapor and flavor. Althogh this is my first Kayfun so I can't compare it with previous versions.
I find 28 ga or even better 29 ga Kanthal A-1 perfect.I also like 28 ga 316L SS .Any lower ga wire needs more watts and does not cool down as quick, causing vape to come out of the airflow after vaping.I only vape kanthal around 11 watts and SS316 L at 430F on my DNA 75's.

The first airhole might work, but I'm thinking you'll want that mtl kit. I know a mtl friend uses it on his Tobecco & says it's perfect.

I use 316L SS in power mode on Hex Ohms & everything else.

Hey bud all I know is my 8 Tobeco kayfun 5's work great with fantastic flavor. I even bought a mtl kit but haven't put it in yet because everything works great. I think it's the tank you have that might be bad and I feel for you,but get a Tobeco from Eciggity, I think their code for 10% off is TEN OFF.

so far for my sxk clone being performing well no leaking problems flavor is on point..leaking only occurs when I don't close the juice flow control when filling. so far no extra metal parts when I had it on the first day no blockage on the airflow also. possible one in a million isolated cases when It comes to clones.

One question guys wil the steam tuner kits fir the sxk clones that we have??Planning on buying the all glass kit or the mini kit for the k5 from steam tuners.

If you let off the fire button before you finish your draw you'll vape that last bit of vapor & it won't come out the airflow.
I agree but for some reason doing that mutes the flavor for me. Also i have no idea why thicker wire would be needed. More battery use, more juice use, more heat and less flavor. I guess it is all subjective. I have no idea why anyone needs more than 15 watts, especially on the KF V5.

Every vapers preferences are different. I love my 26ga .8 ohm coils at 20w in my Kayfun 5. Same setup I ran in my Derringer's on my mechs, and it works for me.

I select my choice of gauge mostly by the HEATFLUX numbers on the SteamEngine site, and of course what will fit and wick well in a given Atty.

Ive been wanting to know more about how one ascertains the correct amount of heat flux….is there a preferred range and how does one go about making that selection?

I use the steam-engine.org calculator and try to keep heat flux between 200 and 300 mW/mm^2. 200 is too cool and 300 is too hot, so I end up with a warm but not too hot vape. I thought there was an explanation of heat flux on the steam-engine site, but don't see any now. Don't forget to input wattage in the last box.
