Ok so after 2 days with tobecos ....they are pretty damn good for the price but the biggest negative for me is that the deck screws suck compare

Check your juice holes on chimney...could be defect

Strange, I put clapton coil in both of my tobeco's, and no problems with the screws on mine, got 1 SS and 1 black.

I've been running 50/50 thru my Tobecco thus far... been thru about 4 tanks give or take... I find I need to go 2.5 to 3 full turns of the juice flow, otherwise not enough wicking.

I tried on 2 turns (using the SM logo as a guide) and I was getting a non-saturated vape. At 3 turns (or an additional 1 turn to the 2 turns) I saw a MASSIVE bubble, so I know MINE in particular doesn't like 2 turns, it needs more. And so far all I've run thru it has been 50/50 Five Pawns.

HOW MANY TURNS ARE YOU GUYS DOING ON YOUR TOBECCO'S ?

2 turns seems to work well for me, with 70VG/30PG juice.

Check to make sure the juice openings on the groove in between the o-rings are open. My Tobeco KFMv3 didn't wick well. When I poked a drill bit down the juice holes, there was some trash blocking 3 of them.
Thats good to know. I'll check that on mine when I finally get to where they are at. Ive spent all day screwing with my computer. I upgraded my new ML and after my usb's became disabled. I tried all the crap recommended for Win 10 nothing then I got to thinking you can get into setup when the computer is booting up so I did that and pushed the system recovery button and wham they started working again. Couldn't do it through this stupid Win 10.

Is it the screws or the holes they go in. Just wondering if the authentics would work better.

Ditto on 4 Tobecos. The SXK's screws weren't great but didn't have a problem capturing 26g SS wire.

80/20 and 2 full turns is more than enough.

I have no idea why 2 turns is not enough for mine? I only got the 1 black version, maybe it just screws down further? I dunno. Oh well... No biggie, 2 turns, 3 turns, all the same to me I suppose.

For those wondering about the airflow, like me... I have only done the 1 build, I'll try to measure the air hole with something (no calipers here) next rebuild/recoil.

However I did remove the afc ring, exposing ALL the holes, I don't perceive any airflow difference, so that tells me the bottleneck (if you want to call it that) is the air shaft or hole under the coil. Again, to me, it's too tight even like this....

Wicking. When I have a thick wick, it doesn't work well. When it's a bit thinner, it works much better. I also move the wick so one juice hole on each side is exposed and that's been working really well on my KM3's and KF5's. I currently have 4 KM3's and 6 KF5's in rotation.

I'll try a 2.4mm coil and thinner wick next build. That might help the draw for me a bit too.

Kayfun V3 (might also work for V5) restrictive airflow hack.

My Kayfun V3 Mini is way too airy, even with the screw all the way in. From what I know, Kayfun V5 is even more airy, so not exactly perfect for MTL. You can buy a €10 "M2L" restriction kit, which is totally idiotic in my opinion since Kayfuns are supposed to be for MTL, so I don't understand why Kayfun V5 is so open.

But you can do a very simple hack, and this should also work with Kayfun5.

Disassemble it entirely and take out the center post (the thing on the picture).
Take a QTip or any other cotton swabs, those with a plastic stick. They are the perfect size!
Cut a tiny ring from the QTip, about 1-1.5mm (0.04-0.06inch) length.

With precision screwdrivers or similar (most vapers should have adequate tools), insert the QTip ring, from the bottom like shown in the picture. For V3, DON'T push it down, but just insert it barely so you can put the grub screw back in. Now screw in the airflow/grub screw, which will push the QTip ring forward as well.

Should also work with V5, although it might need some experimenting for the right position and size of the QTip ring.

The result is much more restricted airflow.

If you want the ring out again, push with a screwdriver or some tool from a vape set from the other side and push the ring out again.

(Why my KF V3 Mini doesn't shut the airflow *entirely* when I use the screw, I don't know. The screw seems either too short, or the thread inside the center post doesn't reach down far enough to entirely close the holes with the grub screw. Yours may be different.)
