Maybe they've had them for months/years and just never sold them so wanted to get rid of them at any price.

Or took a load of stock on from an out-of-business rival?

Just put my two in for cleaning and have learnt two things already:

There's two o-rings under the positive post? Most of my clones were missing even the one around the positive post white insulator, and I knew that was a common clone issue. But these authentics also have a second one, sitting under the insulator. I had no idea about that one. I don't think it's been cloned in any of my clones, because whereas the around-insulator one was not installed it was still in the spares pack, and I don't think this under-insulator one was even in spares. Not that I really got leaking in my clones as long as I had the around-insulator one, and he removed it from the Aqua SE. But interesting to see it was meant to be there.

Secondly, the entire positive path is made of copper! Well I think it is? It looks lighter than brass. And most importantly, the resistance of that entire path, from tip of the 510 pin up to the tip of the positive post threading - the part that touches the bottom of the coil - is 0.0004Ω. 25 times lower than what I'd consider worst case, 0.01Ω.

Phenomenal! A rock solid TC tank if I ever saw one - must be one of the best RTAs ever in this respect. Good old Kim.

(This is no doubt all old news to you authentic and/or OTM veterans, but all new, good news to me :) )

Though sadly it seems it was not to last. I just measured the Aqua SE, positive post to 510 pin (in the SE, the positive post is a single piece, rather than screwed onto a separate pole like in the v2):

0.0025Ω. Still fine. Good, in fact. But not incredible like the v2. The cost of going from copper to stainless - and of selling the tank for $80 instead of $140, I guess :)

The OTM is the only Aqua v2 I have.

While true its one of my fav tanks, I do own more tanks than any one woman needs, lol! I have 3 more on the way as it is. So even though I've been (reluctantly) purging, I can't seem to stop trying new ones. I already know I want and will keep the second Aromamizer I bought and the 22mm TGS2. I haven't tried Le Magister yet so can't say on that one. And not sure I want to give up any of my other tanks either.

IF I buy this, it may be left in storage in case anything goes horribly wrong with the OTM or SE.

Nope you don't want the second Aromamizer you bought I'm sure of it just send it on over my way:D

I would defenitly buy an authentic If I could! That's one hell of a price

My Aqua V2 from Local Vape is out for delivery. I'll be able to confirm authenticity when I get home from work this evening.

Inswva were you able to confirm Authenticity?

I ordered one, Too good of a deal to pass up, but............I am unable to confirm Authenticity. Wrote to them ,They claim not counterfeit, not a clone.
Waiting to hear back from them again.

Anybody else having trouble Authenticating?

Mmmmm.... I wondered when I saw the deal if these were the OTM unauthorized authentics. Are the OTMs sharks or dolphins?

The OTM's were first batch sharks.

The "OTM" did not come with an authenticity card, but did have a cutout in the top piece of foam in the case where it would have been placed. I would think you could verify authenticity through Footoon with the card.
