In my case it's juice. Removing the 510 screw and cover exposed juice inside which leaked and collected on radius beauty ring.
With my km3 this slight leakage is directly associated with my wicking. If I wick it just right I get no moisture at the bottom, but if I stuff to much into those channels I get more. As far as I know the only way juice can get under the 510 plate is through the deck insulator. I figure if there is to much tails or if there is to much stuffed in the coil, the tails in the channels stay over saturated , which then somehow seeps down the insulator.

Totally agree regarding condensation but that always seems to be clear and easily distinguished from ejuice.

I have studied and experimented with the K5 to the end of the earth and I have concluded that ejuice can only end up sleeping through the air holes via traveling down the main air hole of the center post.

.
what about entering through or underneath the insulator?

Hey bronze, finally got a k5 ....I too am thinking about the nano kit , but as I read through these posts, I see SvoeMesto is coming out with a tpd version. Is this something that you have to purchase a complete new tank, or just a smaller tank and chimney, like the steam tuners version? I have the tower tank from steam tuners, but it's still tall and I am having issues with it

Is anyone using the steam tuners tower kit with the k5? If so I have some questions. At the moment I don't have the ST drip top cap and am using the top cap from a km3 and am having issues with the chimney moving with the base ad I open or close the JC. It seems the ST tank just spins freely, like the top cap is not securing the tank down properly.

Hi Divrr, from what I've been told, the 2ml Svoemesto K5 will be released anytime now. Flo from Svoemesto said they were just waiting on packaging arriving before they could ship them to vendors. And that was about a week ago, so surely anytime soon. He also said they were considering selling a 'kit' that would mean existing K5 users would not have to purchase an entire new tank.

Somewhere along the way I learned the tpd version will reduce the height by 10mm. The nano reduces the height by 20mm. So I need to wait and see. Decisions decisions.
I think 10 mm shorter would be a nice height, and besides that, I'm hoping the tpd version has at least a little bit of a longer and narrower chimney compared to the nano. The only tank I had that compared to the nano version (basically no chimney top at all) was the pico rta. The pico had a chimney but it didn't reduce into a thin chimney top and I just didn't care for it . There is something about that thin portion of the chimney top I like and I think it gives more of a TH . the short chimney on the nano or pico may be a bit warmer, but there is something about those I can't get use to. It reminds me of a dripper type vape that has no chimney at all, I just find something about it that's missing. For me, I prefer small chimneys that go up into a thin tube to the drip tip , those are my favorite type of rtas.

Can't argue with that. The nano has a very short coil to tip travel. Doesn't especially suit me either. I like the smallest profile possible but it has to function too. I like style but I don't like style over substance.

Looks like we both will be eying the new tpd tank when it comes out....

Just sharing, I spoke with our SVOEMESTO friends in New York, and was told large order stuck in customs. Should arrive any day. Also all new items of interest are ordered and awaiting fulfillment and shipping. Hoorah, can't wait!

Bout time you found your way here. :)

What's your issue now?

I am on an endless quest for knowledge itself, the sheer joy of knowing. And ... I use the Kayfun 5 with a Provari for my daughter's smoking cessation, she doesn't like to fool with stuff and I do; so I am kind of a nicotinic maintenance man.
I am having leak problems out the air intake. I have read some of the posts here and, in one of your posts, I saw that a good washing might be helpful. I am going to give that a try with a good look at the O-rings. This is a new problem for me but I have never really taken one apart to clean it, I had never thought of it, I just a rinse and reassemble. It may be time.

Try and keep the wick tails as far away from the airhole as possible.

Deep cleaning it has always worked for me, and remember to use a little more cotton than you think is necessary
